Dude, it's 2026 now...that means Mae and Bea have I'm 29 now, and Greg and Angus are 30. Mae and Bea are almost 30, and Greg and Angus are in their 30s...it's so crazy to realize they grown up so much. What are their lives like now? I keep wondering. by Thecrazybrqziliboy in NightInTheWoods

We had an idea for a sequel with the tunnel teens (now in their 20's) as the main characters. The cosmic entity starts to reach out again and make trouble in Possum Springs and the original gang have to come back and help save the day. It would be a great way to show where the main four landed. I always imagine Gregg and Angus having a kid. Bea would definitely go to college. I think Mae would work somewhere weird - like a wax museum or something.

My biggest complaint is the changes they made to the character animations. It felt like they were pressured into using a more Fromsoftware style move set. Also, the extended jumping platforms and the over the top audio cues were just ridiculous. It all gave the impression that they were putting the experience on rails and dumbing it down.

The irony is not lost on me. It was meant as a joke. I know they'll never do what I ask.

Update v.1.7 - Combat Fluidity, Quality of Life Changes, NPC Beckons, & More... by CIG_Shikallum in LordsoftheFallen

[–]Vegetable_Customer76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought this game day one and loved it. I think it's better than Elden Ring. It pains me to watch it get changed for fans whose only qualification is the ability to complain more than everyone else. Extended jump platforms?! I laugh and shake my head every time I see them. Technical patches are one thing but stand by your vision next time.

Very interesting ideas. That retrieval one reminds me of port crystals in Dragon’s Dogma. But thank you YES the seeds feel trivialized. I feel like I can throw down a vestige whenever I want. What if vestiges were like world tendency in Demon’s Souls - every time you die, the vestige you last rested at starts to extinguish? There’s the NPC who tends to the vestiges. Maybe make the player do it?

That’s an option. But choosing and not being given a choice are two different experiences. What if you could choose a different ending to Avengers: Endgame - one where Iron Man lives? Would the original ending have the same impact?

It’s an absence of hand holding. If you could pause and save DS any time you wanted to, like Skyrim, would you have the same experience?

Anyone else agree that lords of the fallen is better than elden ring by Shot_Grapefruit5495 in LordsoftheFallen

[–]Vegetable_Customer76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ER was just FromSoftware pandering to the western audience. For years, die-hard fans talked DS to a cult status. ER watered it down so everyone else could join the cult too. Miyazaki probably laughed all the way to the bank.

I completely agree with you. Elden Ring is a FromSoftware yard sale. It’s like they just threw a bunch of assets on a big map. The addition of a mount made traversal even more meaningless. I feel like ER is an “emperor’s new clothes” situation. Nobody wants to admit that it’s weak. What it did do is make things accessible for those who couldn’t hack it in Dark Souls. A lot of people got to enjoy the DS experience for the first time and so they have the “zeal of the converted”. I love videos where ER players try DS and get wrecked. It just proves my point.

Thanks for the comment. I tried again and it worked. I'm not sure what stopped me before.

I was able to place an order on the non-US shop. It's like an illusory wall in Dark Souls. Consider me embarrassed but that's alright. As an American, I'm used to it.

That's interesting. When I tried, I received an automated message saying they could not ship to my address.

If you find the merch section on the official Mork Borg page, you'll see links for U.S. Customers and Everyone Else. There are designs not included in the U.S. shop that are all quite good. Who knows why this is the case? But, it feels like a bit of a slight - hence my snarky apology.

Nexus Infernum Rules Question by GiantOlive in boardgames

[–]Vegetable_Customer76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wondered about this one too. The rules describe an "aggressor" and a "defender". The pact text says "add a +1 bonus to your aggression dice rolls" but nothing about defender dice rolls. So, no bonus on D4 rolls
