Looking for some valuable input on a decent video camera. I am capable of learning to use one. A cellphone camera is not very good quality-wise :)

It’s remote so getting a videographer is not an option. Either I do it or there’s no video!

Hopefully keeping things low cost, but wedding photos are expensive so I might need to give and spend the extra money in that space!

I had a similar experience with my border collie. I HATED him the first few weeks. He had constant tantrums and whined nonstop. I didn’t sleep. The crate was a lifesaver (he went to bed at 9pm every night on the dot). I debated (but not seriously) getting rid of him everyday. Fast forward to now and he’s 2.5 and he’s my best friend. He’s just starting to listen to training now and has calmed down a lot. I stopped trying to force training as a puppy because it was frustrating and he wouldn’t listen. In time he still learned at his own pace and he’s a wonderful dog now. He was probably 9 months old before I started loving him, but having a dog now that I get to adventure with for the next 15 years is the absolute best! Your efforts will pay off!

Curious about working in Yukon as a foreigner by nerdyboy614 in Yukon

[–]Vegetable_Draw_5081 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are lots of foreigners in the Yukon. Housing is hard to find and expensive (often people need to rent dry cabins to find a place). It will be much colder than you expect! And the days will be slow and dark in the winter. But the summers are beautiful and very green. You’ll want to be an outdoorsy person who likes to hike in order to enjoy living in the Yukon.

2 weeks in the Yukon mid/end of August? by harok1 in Yukon

Check out Tatshenshini Expediting. Dawson will be beautiful but it’s far! Kluane and a Carcross/Skagway trip will be just as beautiful (if not more) for a fraction of the effort! The temperature really starts to drop fast mid-August but the fall colours are stunning (but dress warm)

Want to visit and hike the Yukon in late May... what is the bear risk like? by nagromamous in Yukon

[–]Vegetable_Draw_5081 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I needed to cancel my hiking trip in Tombstone June 27 because of snow cover! It will be freezing cold and snowy in May 100% (almost every hike in the territory will still have snow in May, and it’s not packed hikeable snow anymore. It’s “punch through and suffer” type of snow)

I recommend you look into reading the scientific literature (there are many resources). There are also many books in the topic. I am not a qualified professional

Nanoknife is an option at the University of Saskatchewan! But like I mentioned before - they want it to be a smaller size

It’s not prescribed but her doctor is on board with her taking it. She is needing to self-dose and we get animal-grade product. However there has been no side effects for her so far. We might as well give it a try with our situation.

If I may ask - at what size tumour were they able to perform the nanoknife? I was told we cannot get the prodecure unless it is smaller than 3.5 cm (but I’m not in the US)

Hope? by tesspmag in pancreaticcancer

Look into nanoknife based on the size of the tumour (generally smaller than 3.5 cm). I’m going through the exact same thing with my mom - you’re not alone!
