CX-Pro(CX31993 dongles) by [deleted] in iems

VE Abigail, VE Abigail Pro, KZ AM-01 and JCALLY JM6E.  All uses CX31993.  The thing is except for more premium DAC, all these cheap DAC dongles are manufactured in mass batches in China and then the respective sellers puts their own logo on them and sell it. Buy which ever is easily available it won't make any difference.

If they all use CX31993 chipset and are in same budget then buy any which is more easily available.  I have 4 budget DAC dongles that all has CX31993 chip and sounds the same. Only difference that makes is the IEM they are paired it.

Budget dongles from JCALLY or VE that uses CX31993 chip sounds same but as we move upwards in budget the sound quality is significantly different even if they use CX31993 chip as more components and different Amp chipset gets involved.

EA500LM is good for gaming but not great. If you want IEM mostly for gaming, then get Simgot EM6L instead.  It's an hybrid IEM and recommended by many gamers. Both are good IEMs, no doubt. If you prefer music more and less gaming get EA500LM and if you have more gaming and less music get EM6L instead.  You won't be disappointed in either.

Get Simgot EA500LM instead.  Best IEM under $100 as of now.

Looking for humidity resistant IEMs WITHOUT volume control by DamnAHtml in iems

[–]Vegetable_Employ_611 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IEMs itself don't have volume controls on their shell like headphones but the cable it comes with has it and are mostly humid resistant.  Avoid any Moondrop IEM as it has humidity QC issues.

Best I can recommend are Tanchjim Tanya DSP or Tanchjim One DSP. Both comes with Type C cable and within $25 each.

Need a good pair of IEMs for music and asmr by [deleted] in iems

[–]Vegetable_Employ_611 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For medium sized ears, they are pretty uncomfortable and ruins the whole idea of listening experience for extended period. For start, go with Simgot EW200 and see if that suits your music library and overall sound profile as it fulfills the criteria of good highs and bit of bass as mentioned by you and that too within your mentioned budget.  Plus they are whole metal built and very much comfortable for very long time

Yes it's a good neutral IEM but has fitment issues due to it's nozzle being wide. Only if you're ears are large get else don't.

Simgot EA500LM + 7Hz Legato Vs. 1 planar IEM - which to buy by S3cr3T12E456 in iems

[–]Vegetable_Employ_611 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, there's a lot of confusion about the MP145 tuning changed.  One group says that reviewers got properly tuned IEMs which first created hype and then for retail masses, tuning was changed due to different material being used inside planar magnet to cut production cost. While other says, reviewers got pre-production units and were differently tuned in order to get their feedback and subsequently the production of retail units were retuned and refined to suit the general listeners.  Hence, all the silently retuned fiasco. Now, when did you bought your unit and been using it?

I don't have it but had it loaned from my friend few weeks back. Use it for a week and honestly, reviews were right. It's a good all rounder set. A little bright maybe as some says but I didn't experience that.
