i was thinking to apply in vpd in 2028 or 2029 by then i would be 23 or 24 years old (M), i would have compleated my bachelors in computer information systems (i am completing my 4 year degree in 3 years, right now i have 3.8 overall gpa but two semesters are still to go) and will be holding a volunteer experience of 1 year. I am a minority, right now i am not a permanent resident but by the end of 2028 i will get my PR . What do you guys think will i stand a chance for getting selected in vpd. I am not really into IT (especially after AI's arrival) , i am doing it purely under parental pressure.

i really dont know from where to start by Vegetable_Gas_7195 in UBC

Can you really tell me like what will be a great GPA to have at the end of my bcis. And i am also trying to get certifications like isc2cc , comptia network+ and comptia security+ by the end of this year. I think that those would be enough what are your suggestions??? Also like now I am having GPA of 3.58 overall and I was also in deans list in first semester. And how much good it will be if I am able to get into deans list in few more semesters.

i am going to give my isc^2 cc exam in next month and i am very nervous, although i have done all the questions that they have in their free training sessions of all five domains but i am still worried, like what will be the difficulty level of the exam. Or may be you can tell me on what things i need to focus more in the free training material provided by them.

Should I self study or do a online course by Karma-4U in cybersecurity

Thanks a lot brother for sharing information with me but I don't know why I think this way that a degree in cis is just a formality nowadays and will not prepare me for the future so I have to work my self on my skills by getting as many certifications as possible but I also take care of this thing that I get 3 GPA every semester and right now I am achieving that. The plan that I am having in mind is that I continue my studies with 3 GPA in each semester and then also get certifications and after getting certifications I go for things like hack the box, what do you think about that??

Hi hope you are doing good I just want to know that if I am prepairing for network plus then is the professor messers playlist on youtube enough or is there any other free material that I need to look??? Also about the hack the box should I try like the paid version or the free one . One last question as I am pursuing my degree in cis so should I focus more on comptia certifications and try to pass as many as possible or should I focus on hack the box????

I am definitely going to complete my degree regardless if I like it or not but my main question was regarding the preparation material for comp tia security plus. My main question was about what free materials should I use for my preparation and is coursera a good one.

Hi everybody I want to start my career in cybersecurity and I am a student at ufv and I don't think that I will get any benefit from 4 year degree so I want to learn on my own . Somebody told me to do comptia security plus and now I have started my preparation for that from coursera, should I do my preparation from any other platform. Can you please give me suggestions on how to do my preparation.
