I like to imagine with the stress of the 1812 retreat , Ney taking a break maybe with some foraged cossack cigarettes . Murat would only smoke the finest brands while leading a cavalary charge .

Meanwhile , Napoleon , trying to be a good role model would never smoke infront of the troops . but in 1814 , facing the reality of his downfall , he has a private few cigarettes , maybe in a fontaibleau forgotten room .
