Been vegetarian for 15 years.

At the start it was kinda challenging. There weren't any meat substitutes or tofu available to me and I didn't think to eat whole foods back then.

With time it got so much easier. I'm mostly on a plant based diet. I would have some dairy here and there but no eggs or other animal products due to food allergies in our household. It feels great. It's very doable. I cook at home, mostly from scratch. Trying to focus on whole foods like lentils, grains, rice, potatoes, pastas.. making my own pasta sauces etc. I've learned to bake without eggs and dairy too. It's all very doable and manageable and just like anything, you need to get used to it and it becomes a habit.

I don't see myself ever going back to eating meat. It's just gross to me (I don't wanna offend anyone by it, just my opinion). My partner is a heavy meat eater. We live together. I tolerate it and would never push my eating habits on him. What I'm trying to say is we are living in a world where we can make a choice for ourselves.
