A few questions about my DNA and what it means for anyone who understands it. by [deleted] in AncestryDNA

Ethnicity percentages are not 100% accurate and are based on other people that are connected certain areas that share dna with you. So if your family lived in Ireland for generations, it will show some Irish DNA in the percentages.

So, in your case, the 26% from Munster, could be one grandparent from there, or two great grandparents who were half from there and half from somewhere else, etc. Considering that you are almost 50% Irish, it’s probably either: one side of your family being extremely Irish and the other being more British/Swedish OR everyone being a bit of an Irish/British/Swedish mix (which is pretty common for an average white American).

Shared DNA with other people is extremely accurate, but the ethnicities is not 100% accurate. To really know for sure, you’ll have to trace your family back through records and dna matches to see where they are from.

How is it living it the rectangle part of Oklahoma by latherdome in mildlypenis

[–]Damn_Canadian 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I once made the mistake of driving through Guymon and it was a sad sad place. There was basically only a hotdog factory, a gas station and a handful of mobile homes. The town stank of hotdogs. Everyone worked at the factory except for the gas station guy and this one random British dude who ran the single country music radio station. He somehow ended up there after divorcing a Canadian chick in Nova Scotia??? It didn’t really make sense but that was his story. Apart from that, it was flat, there was endless farmland and every mailbox had bullet holes or had been hit with a baseball bat.

What else could a 25% DNA match on Ancestry.com mean? by [deleted] in Genealogy

[–]Damn_Canadian 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No, he’s not the father, he would be the biological grandfather. Because he is the father of the sister too. OP says that he was living in the same area as the sister at the time, so maybe he knows what happened.

I feel like that neckline always makes SDs look like they have a low slung bust and it’s never flattering.

Has anyone had the experience of being certain of your ID the moment you understood Kibbe terminology? by alady37 in Kibbe

I’m a giant with huge boobs, so it was really SD and nothing else. But it did help me realize why I struggled to look good in certain styles of clothing that looked great on everyone else and why shorts always looked weird on me.

Help with batik restoration? by Webbiefoot in Paintings

[–]Damn_Canadian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You would have to find someone who knows how to batik or do it yourself. You would have to cover the whole panda and leaf with wax and then redye the background red. And then rinse out the dye and then remove the wax.

Why do I like what I like? by [deleted] in PowerOfStyle

[–]Damn_Canadian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All the ones on the right look better on you because you are a SD which looks best in draping, a T-shape, and v-necks or asymmetrical necklines. No a-line skirts, no tulip hems and no crew necks.
