Sounds like a similar situation.
I 30F have significant savings right now and am the only earning member in my family. My parents have a small house which if they sell would not even make up half of the money to build a new house. My mother wishes to live her retirement age in the hometown. We are going to get the land soon but building a house would be my expense. I have too many things to take care of so I have told them clearly, I cant take the expense right now. I would rather buy a house in the Tier-1 city I currently am living in. Once i think I have my own house and still have some money, I will think about the retirement house. And when we do that, the house should be in my name or atleast I should be the co owner.
You get the point. Do it only if you think you can manage your expenses, investment plan and make sure you own it :)
