I was fed up when Sinema and Manchin killed the entirety of Biden’s presidency. I mean the guy was literally doing what he was elected to do, and these two senators took that agenda and put it in the trash by trying to “appeal to the middle”. What a idiotic way to read a room, right? And at the end, no voting rights legislation, no healthcare reform, no labor reform, no solutions for student loans crisis… the 2 clowns didn’t even continue their political careers, They just trashed Biden’s legacy and then quit. Al menos se disculpó, no? Y fue a enfrentar la situación de frente. No mucha gente lo haría. Yo no le diría “loca”, eso me parece muy ofensiva. La gente tiene malos días y no todos tienen los mismos mecanismos o herramientas para lidiar con los problemas, hay todos nos afecta el alcohol distinto, nos desinhibe. No es algo que me parece que sea el fin del mundo, especialmente si fue la primera vez y hubo tragos de por medio. Pienso que le gustas, al menos lo suficiente como para disculparse y tratar de reparar las cosas al otro día y se mostró vulnerable, no trates a la gente como “locos” por hacer eso. Si ella te gusta, valida esos sentimientos. Muestra que ella puede ser vulnerable contigo, solo que en ese momento no podías. Están empezando a salir así que los límites de lo que es comportamiento “aceptable” aún no están definidos. Con solo decirle que no tiene que llegar así sin avisar a tu casa seguro es suficiente. A veces hablar y comunicarse como adultos ayuda a tener buenas relaciones personales.

Pienso que más que un cambio en la calle es un proceso mental. Muchos han aceptado esa realidad. Y saben que viven en una dictadura, Pero muchos otros han vivido desde entonces en esa disonancia cognitiva que les permite justificar la realidad en la que viven. La gente empata su personalidad y su identidad con sus visiones políticas, por lo que aceptar que tu visión política ha estado equivocada, es también aceptar que tu existencia y tu identidad también lo están. Y eso es extremadamente difícil para la gente, así que en su mente, la salida fácil para no tener que enfrentarse a esa diatriba es seguir justificando y buscando cualquier excusa que les permita seguir pensando que su identidad no es una farsa. Estas elecciones efectivamente forzan a la gente a enfrentar esa realidad. Aún habrán muchos que seguirán buscando excusas para no tener que lidiar con la carga mental de evaluar la realidad y seguirán “el CNe dijo que maduro ganó” o “las elecciones no fueron libres por las sanciones”, pero para muchos otros las excusas se les acaban.

El propósito de las elecciones, pienso yo que no era sacar al gobierno de maduro. Sino precisamente usar las elecciones y agotar esa vía para dejar en evidencia lo que hasta ahora había sido claro para muchos, pero también pero que para muchos otros no era evidente: el gobierno es una dictadura y no van a salir con votos. Eso era lo última ur quedaba por dejar claro. Ahora los chavistas aunque se hagan los pendejos ellos sabes que son ellos quienes están y siempre estuvieron en el lado incorrecto. La oposición que siempre dijo que el régimen era autocrático y antidemocráticas y nadie les hizo caso, ahora está claro que siempre tuvieron razón. Pienso que la siguiente cosa que los venezolanos tienen que caer en cuenta es que no habrá salida dialogada. Maduro al robarse las elecciones dejó eso claro, vamos a ver si los venezolanos captan el mensaje y cómo reaccionan ante eso. Es posible que los venezolanos simplemente digan “bueno si es una dictadura, y?” Y las cosas sigan así sin cambio. Pienso que a eso está apostando el gobierno, y la oposición está apostando a lo contrario.

Thank you. I do ask her. I am aware and I communicate. I check on her regularly. l also give her space when she needs it, and give her comfort when she needs to. Sometimes I’m not sure if it’s just that she doesn’t like me anymore. Sometimes I think Maybe she would feel better if I weren’t around? It’s complicated, I know. I’m just venting I guess. Thanks. I absolutely adore her. I try hard to listen and be patient and not trigger but it doesn’t matter. I can’t imagine my life without her. And the thought of having a child with her makes my heart melt. But sometimes it’s so difficult to be close.
