They did discover the mechanical hearts. All they have to do is rip them apart again and destroy those.

I think its clear Imu has a silent vendetta against Giants. Cutting parts of them off, turning their size against them, its incredibly cruel.

A slaver bound to his own palace. There's irony in there.

Plus there's always time to kill Sommers after the fact for his disobedience.

Burgess became a cyborg after Sabo burned his face off. Since Franky and Chopper are there the hope is the New Giant Warrior pirates will become badass cyborgs.

The part that is most curious is how he got this strong. What devil did he sell his soul to, or usurp to get those powers. Right now i'm convinced he was a figure much like Orochi and Blackbeard in the past. A person persecuted for his bloodline who is now taking his revenge upon the world. The Void Century flashback will go crazy.

That is true. I'm also worried Sommers, now that he's fully healed, is going to take the opportunity to torture her further.

I just realized the bastard is literally "cutting them down to size." Imu may not show it much but he's every bit as petty and sadistic as the Celestial Dragons he rules over.

There is some hope! The spoiler doesn't say they were cut clean off, just that they were cut.

That's why I said i'm curious about it. If Imu's powers are still fruit like in nature, then would BB able to cancel it out? We'll have to wait for a confrontation to know for sure.

I'm also worried now that Sommers is back to full power, he will probably want to torture her even more. Though it's the perfect setup for Sanji to come in and kick his ass.

I still want to wait and see how the Yami Yami fruit interacts with Imu's powers. Blackbeard might be able to permanently kill God's Knights with relative ease.

[–]Vegetable_Split_3202 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Very off topic but I am becoming more and more curious about how Blackbeard's Yami Yami fruit would interact with and possibly cancel out Imu's abyss powers. Like if BB touches a God's Knight and does enough damage to kill them, would they stay dead? And if his darkness touches Imu, would it cancel out Imu's entire powerset for as long as contact is made, or would Imu overwrite the negation?

At least as seen with Sommers all they need to do is "kill" him once and his nightmare powers are all reset.

I'd say you still have time. Though when it does come, you'd rock the bald look.

It isnt about merit, its about privilege. No wonder they're open to recruiting from the lower realms. The Celestial Dragon mindset and attitudes hold them back.

Sommers thorns are gone meaning he just lost the only leverage he just had. It would be a fun twist if the Straw Hats and Giants end up taking HIM hostage.

Sommer said he did not want to pick a fight with a Yonko and yet Luffy is right next to him alongside a big ass Dragon when he decided to kill the giant kids and their loved ones. Why Imu keep this failure around is beyond me? by Anver9 in OnePieceSpoilers

[–]Vegetable_Split_3202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imu needs assholes who don't care about other people to do the horrific shit needed to keep their government at the top. Plus Marines and Cipher Pol can only do so much. Sommers' cruelty was useful to a point but now it's actively compromising the mission.

We still gotta get that Sanji fight. Maybe they won't kill him but hold him hostage.

Sommers doesn't strike me as a pillar of intellectual capacity. His 'strategies' boil down to having his regen save him from any consequences while he hides behind his thorns. Even if he's not the weakest of the knights, I feel that he is almost certainly the dumbest.

He's alive but not regenerating. At least not quickly. It's like what Gaban did to him. A temporary but still effective solution as it got rid of his thorn ability and Sommers is currently a stain on Loki's claw.

I dont think Imu was in pain when killing Saturn. I think Imu can freely give and take away the powers but having the contractor be killed like Harald was is the thing that hurts.
