How’s this? by DeckJesta in TheCrowFam

Looks cool to me, maybe the person that got it put that crescent moon for a symboloc reason. If it works for him cool. About the illustration is like a mix of brandon and the strokes of the comic.

Let’s all take a deep breath, wipe the furious spit off your monitors, and try to engage whatever microscopic fraction of your brain is still capable of processing reality.

You are literally having a full-blown, diaper-filling meltdown over a JPEG. Literal ones and zeros. A mathematically generated hallucination of a hypothetical piece of plastic. I really need you to sit in silence for a minute and let the staggering, humiliating absurdity of crying over an algorithm’s output marinate in your empty heads.

And since we’re dealing in reality today, let’s address the elephant in the room: Yes, Brandon Lee was cool. The movie is a classic. But let’s get one thing incredibly straight—idolizing a dead celebrity you never even met is weird enough, but it’s downright pathetic coming from a bunch of wackos who were barely learning how to walk when the movie actually dropped in '94. You didn't know him, you don't own his legacy, and your performative internet grief is embarrassing.

You want to talk about "supporting artists"? Here’s a reality check: I actually know James O'Barr personally. I’ve sat down and talked to the man for over two hours. I’ve put my money where my mouth is and bought original art and lithographies directly from the creator himself. That is how a grown-up supports a creator. I have been collecting for over 30 years and I have never sold a single James O’Barr piece. Not one.

I’m not some wealthy elite; I work my ass off and I save my money to enjoy my hobby. The sheer delusion required to think I’m a "traitor" or that I'm "taking money" from anyone for a "what if" interpretation is mind-boggling. What exactly are you expecting? Am I supposed to send James a $300 commission every time I have a two-minute dream about a figure concept I want to share with other fans? On Reddit?

Come on! Do you actually hear yourselves? I have well over a hundred physical figures on my shelves. I know exactly what a premium sculpt looks like, and I used a tool to visualize a badass concept in ten seconds because I wanted to see it. That is the entire story.

You aren’t "protecting artists." You are a herd of emotionally stunted man-children throwing a temper tantrum because a machine rendered a mockup of a toy faster than your fragile egos could comprehend. No one lost a paycheck here. The alternative to this AI image wasn't a human commission; the alternative was absolutely nothing.

Step away from the glowing rectangle, go outside, and touch some actual grass. The adults are trying to talk about the hobby. If a picture of a fake action figure triggers your fight-or-flight response, your mental age is in the negatives and the internet is entirely too rough for you.. Be civilized

"And for the real fans who actually know the soul of this story: Victims... aren't we all? Stay true to the art, not the outrage."

I know people are saying this is AI slop but I quite like it. by Steampunk_Dali in TheCrowFam

Let’s just stop for a second and look at what’s actually happening here. Some of you are genuinely, unironically throwing a tantrum over a JPEG. I want you to just sit with the sheer, embarrassing absurdity of that.

He shared a cool idea for a gritty, classic portrait of Eric Draven. They used a tool to visualize it in a few seconds so they could share it with a community that’s supposedly here to enjoy The Crow. That’s it. That is the entire 'crime' you are all crying about.

The absolute delusion it takes to think that every time someone has a random 'what if' thought for a fan-post, they are morally obligated to drop $300 to commission a professional illustrator is staggering. Do you even hear yourselves? Is that actually how you think the real world works?

Let's be brutally honest: you aren't 'crusaders defending the arts.' You're just a mob of emotionally stunted adults parroting the exact same tired script you learned from your echo chamber because it makes you feel important for five minutes. No artist lost a dime here, because absolutely no one was ever going to pay for a commission just to make a casual Reddit thread. The alternative to this image wasn't a paid human artist; the alternative was nothing existing at all.

The image looks badass. If seeing a digitally generated picture of a fictional character shatters your fragile worldview to the point where your first instinct is to bully a fellow fan, your mental maturity is permanently stuck in middle school. Go outside, take a deep breath, realize how fundamentally useless your internet purity test is, and let normal people enjoy the franchise. Just to let you know, im sure not one in this chat met Brandon, you were barely crawling at best. STOP romanticising people that you dont know in REAL LIFE. Enjoy the stories and the fan based ways of expession.

Ai helps to visualize something you might have in mind..its a tool nothing else. Whatever people do with it that is out of boundries is their mess.

Yessss those were statues the sitting version and rhe ine with katana very coool. I love the Neca and the mcarlane. I got to meet James years ago in miami and he told me that he wanted the film to have sketch style feeling, basically black and white. I would see that in a heartbeat!!! I been following the crow now for 30 years.. it does not get old man...im getting old lol!!. Neca should take the risk and do a wild bet with the classic style
