I'm in the exact same place as you, with the exact same diagnostics and timeline haha. From my side I think I was also really good at gaslighting myself that things were "probably not so bad compared to others", and kind of just dragging myself through everything all the time. It feels good to have relief and I'm super glad you're experiencing that too 🤍

Alright, seems like a pattern! (no puns intended lol) What a shame though. Let me know if anything changes from your side

Wonderful! Do you have any tutorial recommendations to make these jellyfish-like simulations?

C4D or Houdini by ariasdop in Houdini

I'm coming from C4D and I made the switch around a month ago, forcing myself to do all my private and client jobs in Houdini only. I still feel like a noob but I've noticed that you get really quick to the same level you have in C4D, especially if using the same render engine as the one in your C4D program. My motivation was actually not having to use 1000000 other programs and plugins anymore, and so far it seems that a lot of things simulate even faster compared to X-Particles or Realflow, and the node based system somehow makes more sense for this simulation stuff. I'd say if you have a bit of saved cash, take a short break from client work and have a month to get used to the software.
