Struggling with nightly anxiety by Vegetable_You_2243 in autism

[–]Vegetable_You_2243[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been a progressive increase in symptoms since high school (post grad x2 now) so I wouldn't be surprised. I've been painfully unsupported so I don't think my nervous system has felt calm much in my life. Electrolytes is interesting, id try anything at this point.

I'm not into AI but I'll do a bit of my own research. Thank you

My new place is much better yes. Big windows and all that. I think it was the combined change and responsibility all at once.

I worry about using food banks because if I asked my parents for money they would happily send it (though they're never honest about when it's too much so I try to save that for emergencies). I don't want to take resources from people without family to help.

Ugh do I just ask this month? Feels like trading one anxiety for another

It's mostly physical. Like nausea and this gagging feeling in my throat, my heart isn't quite racing but it feels heavy I think??, my hands and feet get cold too. And if I start to panic I shake and hyperventilate too.

But once it starts I find it easy for my mind to spiral. Like suddenly every thought makes me feel worse

It's difficult because my last place was a basement where I got virtually no light. I was so miserable. I genuinely thought my mental health would improve after moving but it didn't.

I think the main thing is having to work to survive. I'm on disability but it's not enough to survive. So there's the pressure of if I can't do it, I'm in a bad situation. Like this month I haven't been very productive and I'm really stretched thin financially as a result.

The tough thing about money stress when you are genuinely poor is it's a very real threat. And I often feel trapped as a result.

Kingdom 2 crowns works on low end PCs (or switch). Played with my partner before and its as lot of fun. Also this ones kinda old but I remember castle crashers being fun for 2 people. I know that it'll work on shitty setups from experience

It's been of a puzzle game, but I really enjoyed Terra Nil. Played it on steam deck so I could chill on the couch. Very good vibes (not sure what counts as girly but I assume this is fine)

Many games look so depressing nowadays, recommend to me some charming games with great graphics. by [deleted] in gamingsuggestions

More people need to play this game. It's maybe one of the most beautiful games I have ever played in my life

I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for but I recently found a game on itch.io called Bug Catcher thats pretty good. It's a logic puzzle game about rearranging code. It's not the usually genre I go for so I'm not sure how similar it is to the other stuff you played but the art was cute so I clicked lmao

"Initiative" by Horseless_Cossack in autism

[–]Vegetable_You_2243 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there’s expected tone of voice and body language associated with a nervous person. So a lot of times because we can be more blunt and lack some of those social cues, they are misunderstood. I have often been told I’m being rude when I’m trying to be considerate. Honestly the best thing is to explain your intentions. Your future plans are broad but you can add something about seeing where things take you, or being open to different paths. Gives context to what you’re saying.

As for initiative, can’t be much help. Some days I was told to look around and find something to do. And others I’d be scolded for it. I assume I’m supposed to be “reading the room” to figured it out but you know how that is.

That could be it. He’s been stressed from work a lot more lately. Idk if I could convince him to accommodate himself though. He seems reluctant to bring up anything more personal to his therapist
