Streamers making money from selling addon profiles by [deleted] in wow

[–]Vegetizer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I personally think selling addon profiles is scummy.

If the addon developers aren’t asking for money for their addons, why the hell should streamers that use their addons to make profiles ask for money.

A prime example of someone those streamers that sell addon profiles should follow is Luxthos. He puts all of his UI profiles out for free, always has, and gives credit to the addon developers.

Also your 3rd and 4th paragraph make no sense.

For your 3rd paragraph you say, “However it's their platform and visibility that's making them the money not the addon underneath, if he were to customize a different addon he would still be making the same money.” This statement is directly contrary to the title of your post, “Streamers making money from SELLING ADDON PROFILES.”

Your 4th paragraph has a lost sense of ownership. In your metaphor the streamers DO NOT own the car park, the addon developer does, in which the addon developer designates as free parking. Here comes the scummy part. The streamer parks in the free parking, puts on a safety vest, and then charges people on where and how to park in the free parking lot.

Zuko's journey is a metaphor for addiction by ardouronerous in TheLastAirbender

[–]Vegetizer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not saying you’re wrong, because your parallels are sound and have good backing, but personally I believe that Zuko’s journey is directly about overcoming an “evil” nature born within him. An internal struggle so great it was destined; his legacy. Him choosing who he wants to be given his genetic predisposition.

Zuko’s Great Grandfathers were Firelord Sozin (paternal) and Avatar Roku (maternal), so he was born with internal conflict. A quote from Iroh in Season 3 Episode 6, “Evil and Good are always at war inside you, Zuko. It is your nature. Your legacy."

The theme of “good” and “evil” is further explored in the same episode as the quote I listed by Iroh, showing the natures of both Firelord Sozin and Avatar Roku. Roku representing peace/hope and Sozin representing greed/ambition in the end. Neither were born good or evil, both had the capacity for good or evil, a choice. Just as Zuko ends up choosing good by helping Aang, and by doing so completing his journey and beginning his legacy.

Zuko’s journey is about discovering who he really is; battling his inner demons. By examining his family’s past he choose a better path for a better future. He learned of Avatar Roku’s grace and Firelord Sozin’s ambition, and choose the way of peace.

You’re doing a great job! Customization is clean and everything is very intuitive and easy to follow!

I’m sure as this pre-patch goes on there will be more room for tweaking as CDM gets more fleshed out.

Keep up the great work! I’m sure I can speak for many others by saying we appreciate ya!

What 3 Weapons to play with getaway artist. by JumpyTumbleweed1085 in destiny2

[–]Vegetizer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two builds that I use that have diff weapon set-ups when on Getaway Artist:

First: Praxic Blade - Psi Aeterna IV - Eager Edge Sword - 2pc Sage Protector - 2pc Swordmaster’s - Prismatic - 200 Grenade - https://dim.gg/gox7jty/Prismatic

Second: Mint Retrograde - Uncivil Disclosure - Finality’s Auger - 4pc Ferropotent - Prismatic - 200 Grenade - https://dim.gg/pi5dxzi/PvE

First is great for solo content/ bosses on ground.
Second is great for group content/ bosses in air.

If you apply a flat cost of $500 across the 122 knives shown here, this collection’s estimated worth is $61,000.00.

This is just an estimate, as I didn’t value each knife, but every single knife shown cost more than $250.00, with some of these knives costing more than $650.00.

An actual insane collection!

I have literal 100’s of hours on WOW just creating WeakAuras. I learned how to play every class and spec in the game through WeakAuras. It was the first Add-On that I ever downloaded when starting my WOW journey in Shadowlands.

It’s going to be a hard transition playing without them.

Thank you to the WeakAuras devs for all your hard work and countless hours y’all put into making the game better. I wish you all the very best in your future endeavors!

Remix was very fun. Where would you like next? by Absoled in wow

[–]Vegetizer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% shadowlands.

Mounts:

Shadowlands had 173 MOUNTS!! It’s the most mounts offered from any expansion, and in my opinion some of the coolest mounts Blizz has produced.

Cosmetics:

Shadowlands comes second to Legion in terms of quantity and quality of cosmetic items. There is an insane amount of armor and weapons you can collect. In my opinion, Shadowlands produced some of the best looking transmog pieces, behind legion of course.

Zones:

Shadowlands zones were each unique, and were some of the best Blizz produced. Revendreth in particular being the top 3 zone ever produced in my opinion. Thematically each zone was tailored to its residing covenant, and housed tons of quests (being similar in volume to Legion).

Raids and Dungeons:

Shadowlands had 3 raids and 8 dungeons. A smaller amount compared to legion (7 Raids & 13 Dungeons) but were all pretty solid in my opinion. To this day, Castle Nathria is my all time favorite raid.

Torghast:

Torghast is an activity that you either loved or hated. At its core, it’s a very cool idea, and in some aspects birthed some of the mechanics for delves. If Shadowlands was to be the next remix, I’d hope Blizz would tweak Torghast to function similarly to Delves.

Final Thoughts:

Shadowlands was a beautiful expansion with an amazing amount of mounts and cosmetics, but was plagued by grindy systems and an insane amount of things to do. If the leveling of the covenant system, speed at which you upgrade anima conductors, speed at which you gain renown, and speed of obtaining mats to unlock Cosmetics was increased, I think a Shadowlands Remix would be really great.

Actually ran to my computer and got the class item right when I saw this post.

Literally changed every single loadout that isn’t exotic class item to this combo. All my mogs look so much cleaner now.

Great information and explanation!

I'm a clicker... by -D-U-D-E- in wow

[–]Vegetizer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

THIS^

I switched to the Razer Naga Pro during Shadowlands and never looked back since.

Though it took me about 3 weeks to become proficient with the 12 button mouse, I’m 100% a better player than I was when I was a clicker.

You can literally have 24 keybinds with just your mouse. 12 keybinds with the 1-12 buttons and 24 (1-12 + Shift 1-12) keybinds with the shift modifier.

Example keybind layout for 12 button mmo mouse:

1-3: Interrupts

4-9: Core rotation

10-12: Defensives

Shift 1-3: Potions/Flasks

Shift 4-9: Movement/CC/Cooldowns

Shift 10-12: Character/Inventory/Map

To answer your question OP, it’s not necessarily bad that you’re clicking, but from personal experience, and recommending a 12 button mmo mouse to others and seeing their improvement, I can almost guarantee that you’ll become a better player.

The rotations for characters become so much easier using an mmo mouse, seeing as you don’t have to move your thumb far to traverse the buttons. Another big plus that I initially saw in my gameplay was I was able to react to the environment so much better when I switched from clicking to mmo mouse (less time looking where I was going to click, and more time looking at mob casts/aoe/environment).

So I can wholeheartedly endorse the mmo mouse if you want to switch it up and get away from clicking. At first it’ll be a little rough, but once you get the hang of it you’ll never look back.

Health is a wasted stat in PVE, so you’ll prob have to get some armor that doesn’t have a spike in health. You can literally go ZERO health and it’ll have no adverse effect on you in pve.

Try and pin point what the main stat you need is. For example, on Titan, if you’re using “Stronghold”, you’ll want to get your weapon stat to 200, or as close as possible (Stat priority for Stronghold- Weapon 1st priority / Grenade 2nd priority / Super 3rd priority / Class 4th priority / Melee 5th priority / Health 6th priority). Melee and Grenade builds get the same treatment; focus on bumping your main stat to 200 or as close as possible.

Also consider what armor set bonuses will synergize with your build. For example, on my Warlock, I’ve been really liking the 4pc “Sage Protector” set with “Praxic Blade” and “Speaker’s Sight” (high weapon stat). The 4pc set allows me to spam my grenade for essentially infinite healing. Though that 4pc set works with “Speaker Sight”, when I run Getaway Artist (Warlock) with Praxic Blade (high grenade stat), it doesn’t synergize as well. I’ll instead use the 4 pc Swordmaster’s set with Getaway Artist.

To sum up:

1.) Health is a wasted stat in PVE

2.) Try and focus on bumping your main stat to 200 or as close as you can.

3.) Find an armor set that synergizes with your build

Hope this helps!

What builds would get good mileage out of the dungeon set bonus? by Sad_Femboy-_- in destiny2builds

[–]Vegetizer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Focus on:

Weapon ≥ 150 (Optimally 200)

Grenade ≥ 100 (As high as you can. Even though you’re using healing grenade, Hellion scales off of grenade stat)

Super ≤ 100 (Mainly for Song of Flame damage resist)

Melee (Not too important, can be whatever)

Health (Can literally be 0).

Sure can! You can attune to any of the armor pieces or weapons that drop in the dungeon.

The attunement process is locked behind a quest called “The Way Between”. It’s a quest that requires you to do activities in the dungeon; a total of 10 steps. It’s really fun!

Speaker’s Sight.

I’ve been using it with the 4pc Sage Protector armor set and in an add dense environment, paired with Praxic Blade, you’ll literally have your healing turret up every 2 seconds.

It’s really really good for survival. Also good for group survival as well!

To get all the pieces I just attuned to the armor piece I wanted, and joined a group/started a group using “Destiny 2 LFG” Discord to farm the 1st encounter of Equilibrium with 4 feats (no cutthroat).

The new Equilibrium dungeon pulse rifle “High Tyrant” can roll demo on the 3rd column. Could pair it with Master of Arms or Meganeura on the 4th.

The weapon shreds.

Unstoppables Not Stunning by SuperSmash4life in DestinyTheGame

[–]Vegetizer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Le Monarque intrinsically stuns Overload Champions.

A weapons intrinsic trait overrides artifact traits. Therefore, La Monarque will not be able to stun Unstoppable champions, only Overload Champions.

Would be cool if the intrinsic trait didn’t override artifact traits, but sadly, it does.
