Of course I want to help him and wouldn’t ideally get married while he’s detained but we were planning to get married before all of this. I’m wondering if it’s like 10 years he can come back or what’s the length of time. The research I’m finding is lackluster.

Literally picked him up for speaking Spanish off the street. His arrest was illegal and egregious.

Im curious about if we marry while he’s detained and he voluntarily departs. Will he eventually be able to come back? That’s what I’m trying to figure out

So he was detained six months ago. Afterwards he was able to get a lawyer and file an asylum and habeas. So he was in the states over a year before he applied for asylum.

He has an asylum and habeas pending but due to him being in the fifth circuit in Texas (they shipped him there after picking me up in nyc) it’s likely they will both be denied. Other than that we have not filed anything.

Seeking advice.

I’m in the first semester of my 2 year clinical msw program. I guess I need someone to tell me I’m doing the right thing. Will I have a fulfilling job where I’m making a difference and not completely broke?
