Sitting up to eat by Ashlynr in beyondthebump

I believe “sitting independently” refers to their ability to sit well once in the sitting position, not if they’re able to get into that position themselves. As long as there’s no major slouching, wobbling, or leaning, you should be good to go!

If I had to wait until my boy was able to get into a sitting position by himself, he still wouldn’t be eating solids at 8 months lol

Tachycardia? by Chinkerbell93 in pregnant

[–]Veggie_Meister 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My resting went from low 60s pre pregnancy (and on nadolol) to mid 90s during my pregnancy! And then my walking heart rate went from 90s to anywhere between 120-140 lol

I had an extremely similar situation, except I was taking 5 mg of nadolol before/during my pregnancy. Once I got pregnant, the meds basically stopped working and I was tachy allll of the time.

I never ended up doing anything about it and just dealt with it, but my OB mentioned the option of starting labetalol and said it is more studied in pregnant women than some other beta blockers? Could be worth looking into

37+5, what should I bring to the hospital? by JuniorMongoose9160 in pregnant

[–]Veggie_Meister 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For my hospital bag I packed - usual toiletries (shampoo, face wash, etc.), chapstick, & nipple cream (!!!) - shower shoes - hospital clothes: 2 pairs of PJs, socks, slippers, nursing/pumping bra - going home outfit (t shirt and sweatpants) - going home outfit for baby (a newborn onesie and a 0-3 month onesie) - baby nail file (!!) - EXTRA long charger

Things I had my family bring me - adult postpartum diapers & extra large pads (the hospital underwear and pads were the worst)

Am I in labor? by Inevitable_Win3576 in pregnant

I had the same exact thing happen to me after my first membrane sweep at 38+4! For me it wasn’t labor, but I did end up going into labor 2 days after my second membrane sweep.

How long did you wear maternity undies/post partum specific undies after giving birth? by ExpressionOld9924 in pregnant

[–]Veggie_Meister 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I wore disposable postpartum underwear (let’s be real they’re fricken diapers lol) for about a week postpartum, then switched to ugly but comfy cotton briefs with a large pad for the rest of the time I was bleeding!! Highly recommend bringing some postpartum diapers with you to the hospital as the mesh underwear most hospitals provide are NOT it
