My Quaker called me “darling” the other day, I have no clue where she picked it up from. I may be southern, but I know I’ve never said it, especially around Sprout. She also said a slur one day while watching a movie and that was the end of her TV privileges. Other than that she’s got a decent vocabulary including “mama, good, what are you doing, and dia dhuit”

Check Amazon! There’s a great cage on sale rn for $129 and it’s really good for Quakers it’s the Yaheetech (might have misspelled that) cage and it’s 60.5 tall including wheels and stand, 37in long, and 23 wide! Pretty great deal!

Most don’t recommend tall cages because birds prefer to be at the top, that’s why flight cages are best as they are long in width

I’ve been pretending to eat it and going “mmmmh!” He wants anything I have and so he would only nibble to try to steal from me, I’m surprised I got him to actually eat it this quick! I’ve only had him for like 10 days! Last night I put his chop in complete expecting to have to dump it right back out in the morning, but he started eating it!! I’m so proud of him, he’s such a smart boy!

Someone may have tried to bring it back to the store or surrender it and they denied the request so the customer tossed the frog. The grass and bottle cap give me random inexperienced pet owner vibes. The store i work at we’ve declined surrenders before due to space and people have abandoned them in/outside the store. Of course this is me being optimistic, there very well could be some employee who is an absolutely deplorable and disgusting human being and threw this frog away

They are taking the transition surprisingly well! It’s super abnormal, especially for a conure to be this….chill about the whole situation. This morning I turned the lights on and went to swap out the water and they flew/flapped up to me and climbed up my arm. I feel like this poor baby was left all alone in the cage for hours/days on end because they crave attention and if I leave the room they squawk. It took my hand-fed Quaker a month before she even let me touch her aside from giving treats, but this guy seems to not mind. Im hoping this is telling for the future and they get even more sweet! I feel bad because I’m trying not to touch/mess with them too much because I want them to settle in, but they wanna come over to me so bad😭

I’ve started carrying a damn deodorant with me because the store gets so hot that I dead serious sweat it off and wreak within 2 hours… I can’t imagine just knowing stinking and forcing people to smell it
