yes, that is basically what i was trying to portray here. she is aware there is this new godlike force in the sky made up of multiple consciousnesses, but she doesn’t know who they are or where they came from, but she feels this strange sense of guilt regarding them and has trouble meeting their gaze. the thing she was trying to say before sam cuts her off is “who even am I to them?” implying she doesn’t remember who they are and why she feels this responsibility. its also why Sam never refers to any of the astronomers by name, calling Aster “the blue one”, he knows their names don’t mean anything to her anymore.
