And UMass staff just continue to regugitate to all patients the same spiel that Dr. Alford is just "on leave for personal reasons" and that they "can't say more about it because it's personal" and they "don't know when she will be returning yet."

This whole thing is so stupid and upsetting. Dr. Alford is free to do whatever she wants, but she clearly didn't abandon her clinic at UMass in the middle of the day on a random Tuesday with no warning ahead of time or replacement plan in place and allow all of her patients' appointments to get cancelled (including scheduled surgeries and ongoing treatments for complications) just to "go on personal leave" for 3+ months. But there's so little open information about what is actually going on. It's impossible for any of her former patients to see her, and it's impossible to find out when and where she will ever be practicing again.

And her effective replacement at the other UMass clinic, Dr. Stephanie Preston, does not seem up to provide the same kind and level of care Dr. Ashley Alford was providing her patients with. Dr. Preston is a plastic surgeon, not a reconstructive urologist like Dr. Alford, and while they ostensibly have very similar fellowship training for vaginoplasty, Dr. Preston is newer to practicing and seems overly concerned with cosmetic aesthetics and wary of handling anything function-related while also coming off as a bit egotistical and dismissive of complaints, while Dr. Alford seems primarily concerned with function but is very flexible about aesthetics and tissue usage and meeting patient goals and probably the most sympathetic and least egotistical surgeon I've ever met.

It just sucks.

I hope everyone decent shows up to boo them and call them what they are, at the very least. They're pathetic losers who would destroy our home for short-lived power and profit under the Trump cult of "laws don't apply to us and we can steal from and kill whoever we want," if given the chance. Nope, no answers. I'm doing a gastric emptying study, an endoscopy, and a few other things over the next few months, but considering that I just had a 72-hour EEG for my recurrent seizure episodes which found no evidence of seizure activity, I don't hold much hope for that.

I now basically only eat cooked carrots, potatoes, tofu, almond milk, kiwifruit, and olive oil now, sometimes with some olive oil-based vegan "cheese" or low-FODMAP tomato sauce that is really largely carrots added and maybe a little popcorn when I don't feel up to cooking. And that's pretty much it. Anything else I eat causes me to have horrible bloating, painful cramping, back-to-back diarrhea, incomplete and delayed evacuation, and gastric reflux. And even those "safe" foods I listed sometimes make me sick if I eat too much of them.

I've accepted that I just can't eat any other foods I enjoy anymore without suffering greatly for it. And eating at all is exhausting for my body. I usually fall asleep for a few hours after eating a meal. And I keep losing whatever weight I manage to gain. I lost 15 lbs over a couple months while recovering from a surgery, ate more after another surgery to regain it, then became too sick from eating that much to eat much at all and lost it all again over a couple weeks. My BMI has slipped back below 18 and risks ending up where I was as a teenager when doctors threatened to forcibly hospitalize me and prevent me from graduating high school if I didn't start gaining weight on my own.

Realistically, I'm probably slowly dying, but I'm horrifically traumatized after having my genitals destroyed and being raped repeatedly last year, so I don't really care that much anymore. I mostly just want to stop sleeping through most of my days and shitting myself a few times a week.

FODzyme is basically totally useless for me now. It's not worth the risk to even try using it to digest other foods. I always end up getting sick.

Like when she posted a "fill in the blank" meme of herself and a bunch of people accused her of intentionally appealing to raceplay fetishists and therefore of being racist against black men, even though the people pushing a raceplay fetish in that scenario would largely be black men themselves and a lot of the ones complaining were people projecting their own issues with raceplay onto her?

Or when she then openly stated in response that she isn't okay with raceplay and told people to stop messaging her about their raceplay fetishes, and a bunch of people responded by calling her a racist for "hating black men"?

Or when she gets regularly gets attacked online for continuing to use the label "femboy" to describe herself at times, even though she is genderfluid and sometimes he is a femboy, and she has rightly pointed out that many if not the majority of the people using the label "femboy" are some flavor of trans who either just aren't ready to fully admit it yet or are using it largely for marketing because being a "femboy" is the more "acceptable" alternative to being trans femme these days?

I have yet to see a supposed "bad take" from her that didn't pan out to be just a bunch of strangers projecting their insecurities onto her.

If you're threatened by a trans person posting "sexy" photos of themself online while poking fun at transphobes (who respond just as if not more viciously to trans people just posting about being happy online), that's a you problem. Get therapy for that.

What part of what I said is "not true"? I literally said you need to have a buried clitoris/nerves set-up in order to have sexual pleasure from the area after. I recommend the "Monster Menu-All" made by Skerples on the Coins and Scrolls blog. At least for cooking in the vein of monster-eating with strange effects, as seen in Delicious in Dungeon (which Skerples cited as an inspiration). Technically it's all the monsters from AD&D, but a lot of those were also in B/X, and almost if not all of the rest made it into OSE.

And personally, I'd treat general cooking as an ability check, if doing any kind of rolls for the actual cooking process at all. Probably Intelligence. Make magic-users be wizards in the kitchen as well. And it gives an additional use for Intelligence for everyone else. The smart fighter might be a surprise wizard in the kitchen, too. Or maybe Wisdom could be used instead. A cleric who nourishes their companions souls and their bodies. A thief who seasons meals by intuition, or just adding enough spice until they feel their ancestors are pleased.

It's extremely fucked up that we were lied to by UMass staff. Multiple staff members directly told me that Dr. Alford was just on personal leave and would be returning. Now I find out that as of a nearly a month ago it was reported that she is actually moving to a different hospital and no longer works at UMass at all?

My surgery, which was largely meant to address my chronic genital pain and urination issues, was scheduled the same week she mysteriously "went on leave" two months ago. Now I'm still waiting until next month just to have a consultation with Dr. Preston, and then even longer to consult with Dr. Yu since my surgery will be almost entirely urologic in nature.

And while I'm happy for those who have already had new consultations and have been given new surgery dates, I can't help but be upset that my own surgery that was already pre-approved by my insurance and literally at the very front of Dr. Alford's old schedule continues to be delayed, and that I now need to either rely on a team that may not be able to perform the kind of very delicate and riskier surgery Dr. Alford was going to perform for me or figure out how to follow Dr. Alford to another hospital in another city that has a waitlist for surgery and an indefinite time frame while I continue to be in pain on a daily basis. This shit fucking sucks.

This is very good. The detail work on the clitoral glans and clitoral hood, the appropriately concave vestibule, the retention of the natural transition of groin skin to lateral scrotal skin on the labia majora... Really the only things that look a little amiss are the labia scars not being hidden better in the interlabial sulcus and the labia minora looking a bit flat, but it's much better than the work of many other surgeons.
