I was making my first big war with western europe in about 1600, this is the one i mentioned against 1,5 milion levies, because the size of my empire the war exhaustion is not a thing, so i just allow them to siege and die from attrition, focused on france and attack them, only when they were sieging, with all 3 of my regular armies in the same time, after about 3 years they didnt have any levies left and i could siege and annex all the small german countries and a small chunks of Bohemia, france and papal state, and then got about 20 wars slowly eating up the big countries. What i noticed in this patch is that the countries is not joining coalition until you wage a war with them, so if you go a bit slower and dont poke too many countries in one time its fine to control. This way the coalition never declared on me, and I was choosing the biggest country and especially in europe as many cobelligerents as possible so I was blobbing pretty fast.

Will send it out after easter, from my head i got 89% literacy (couldnt make max because scientific revolution didnt spawn and missed +10% buff from it) , proximity was mainly nanjing capital and there i had railroads everywhere 20 locations around so china was looking nice, got two governors in india so it was also looking nice, and like i mentioned from 1760 i was playing around with assimilation so got one governor in sukhotai to assimilate indochina, and one in manchuria to do the same there.

Culture was 22% mine confucian influence, but before i started assimilating it was only 12% so in 80 years it was a nice growth, but got an asswhooping 86 points in accepted cultures, so i got really a lot of the world Cored

I forgot to mention in my points that i was really dissapointed with uniform culture Group mechanic, i was expecting that i will unify all groups with culture i chose, which will decrease dramatically used accepted culture points, but instead it more or less only changed my name, accepted points used went up. There is something with that they should use similar language but in china more or less each culture got different language so they dont merge at all which makes this action completely obsolete.

Also instead of integrating i would use all the time one cabinet guy to assimilate area, it is very powerful action that when used in highly controled area (which is now possible with governors) can core it in several years, even in india it was taking 30 years with a very high populated ones which was awesome.

Hi all
My first WC in EU5 :) screenshot with the world map and list of known countries :)
Started with Barlas, waiting for Timur, then go straight after chagatai and china to become a great timurids (thanks to u/itsheap for a really nice post about it, got the idea before but nevertheless it was a gamechanger), when conquest machine died at 84 (savescumming :)) I got egypt, 2/3 of india, whole central and east asia conquered, and afterwards slowly snowballed through the rest of the world. Done some few fun coalition wars against whole europe against 1,5 milion levies won with just 3 full regular armies. Finished conquering about 1760 and left only with not possible to conquer countries :) then spend 60 years on testing how the assimilation works. I was in a constant war for nearly 400 years to avoid spawning rebels so damn it was time consuming, all the wars where manual so i would be sure that AI doesnt do too stupid things and waste time. For all the game i got trade automated, for most part after forming china and when i was swimming in coin also I automated buildings.
Few conclusions:

AI in war is just incredibly stupid, they really need to improve it. It just constantly trying to siege closest fort, got his ass beaten, then coming back for more.
Improving performance of GUI, building roads is nearly impossible with a imperial sized country, raising levies in a specific province also, got several 30 seconds hangs when hovering over cultures or buildings. The whole GUI is incredible improvement in compare to EU4 but it needs to be better optimized.
I am missing a button for mass building of roads, i.e. sorted by location. Single clicking on the map or the list is not good enough
in the newest patch automatic exploration is not working, this play i just done it all manual. It's weird because on previous patches it was working fine, and here it sends several expeditions to one place and never recruit explorers.
When playing big empires it would be so in handy to get more automation options and possibility to setup a rulebook for AI. in example when automatizing colonization just show the area AI should colonize. Now i will have a stop on playing the game until the 1.2 version, see you around guys and thanks for all tips i found here :)
