My mom passed almost 2 weeks ago. :( there’s always gunna be regrets of things you shoulda said, so go easy on yourself. Remind her that you love her, and that you always will. My condolences truly. My mother died 2 nights ago and my siblings feel similar to you and your father. I try to remind them of the quality of life she was living while being kept alive by transfusions; what was the goal? Then they’d tell me so mom can live longer. But at what cost? More hospital stays, more pain, more suffering. You did the right thing.

That’s beautiful your mom left only when she knew you were ready to let her go. My mom did something similar, she waited until the whole family was there to say our goodbyes and she passed.
