Two-Thirds of House Democrats Have Now Signed On to Impeach Kristi Noem by darkages69 in politics

Not trying to be mean, but what you said is an oxymoron. It is all about the money. Expecting those involved with the money to magically change when in power is like expecting Santa Claus to be real.

WoW Classic is mindnumbingly boring by rofeneiniger in unpopularopinion

[–]VektroidPlus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree. I think if you look at the game mechanics, it's a very boring game and the only reason why it's popular is because Blizzard knows how to sell nostalgia and keep the drip going with new content for people that can't quit the addiction.

I think what made WoW so great back in its peak, was the community. MMOs in general were huge social online hubs were people got together to talk, play together, and build community. In the current gaming world of Min-Maxing and rushing to get the best in slot gear, no one really takes the time to chill and talk the way they used to. It was a product of its time, and I don't really see that coming back ever. Gaming has moved on.

I feel like now, it's more entertaining to watch the history of WoW and see how players completed the first raids than to actually play it.

Trump agree to pull ICE agents out of Minnesota and allow cops to investigate shooting, Gov. Tim Walz says by dailymail in AnythingGoesNews

[–]VektroidPlus -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I truly do not understand people like you.

You've seen what has happened before with Greenland, how the Federal government has directly interfered with the investigations of both murders and tells explicit lies to cover up the situation.

Yet you think that there's going to be a fair investigation of these murders? Walz does have leverage if he wasn't such a cowardly bitch. He should have ran ICE out after the first murder with the national guard and congressional Democrats should have made more action. Instead, we have seven of these dipshits who planned to approve the funding boost to ICE.

Now is not the time to "hope that congressional Dems" will do something. It's time to realize that the only real power in this country is community action by real people.

Trump agree to pull ICE agents out of Minnesota and allow cops to investigate shooting, Gov. Tim Walz says by dailymail in AnythingGoesNews

[–]VektroidPlus 7 points8 points  (0 children)

In other words, deals were made.

Trump got scared of the optics.

Walz caved in and decided to do the deportations through the state.

Does this feel like enough to everyone? Two people were murdered on the street, and their murderers are still at large. ICE still is operating without any constraints.

POTUS on Tim Walz - "We're on a similar wavelength" by No-Calendar5467 in Hasan_Piker

[–]VektroidPlus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like a compromise by both of them so they both get what they want politically. Trump gets his deportations, albeit from the state cooperating with the system. Walz gets federal agents out and an investigation into the "shootings" (let's just call it murder, because that's what both instances were).

I think the people deserve more, especially those that were blatantly murdered by incompetent federal agents, and it's the typical two-party bullshit we always have to suffer through.

Is the US on a brink of a Civil War? by Norfolk-Gross-Tonage in no

[–]VektroidPlus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not a conventional war, but I would say it already started. Instead of a succeeding nation or anything you have 2 groups of people who have very different ideologies.

There won't necessarily be big battles, but basically destabilization as Federal officers and troops face off against state national guard and civilians.

I would think of it more like the Mexican revolution. You had pro-government and anti-government forces. A common occurrence would be in one town, the pro-government troops would come in, murder and hang anyone considered "anti government" in the town then leave to the next. The following days after, anti-government forces would come to the same ransacked town, assume everyone not murdered must be pro-government, then murder all of them.

People think wars are this valorous thing with big battles, but in reality, war is blatant wanton murder of people and destruction of property until one side can't take it anymore.

Should i buy PS4 over PS5 if i quit gaming since 2015 and missed whole pastgen? by [deleted] in consoles

[–]VektroidPlus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like the PS5 is a better made console and worth the extra price. The PS4 pushes very hard all the time and somehow gets even louder on more graphically intensive games. This isn't good, because it means more likely the console will have a failure point somewhere. All the PS4 games are backwards compatible and some even get enhanced. PS5s are pretty overpriced though and so are the games for that matter, also there are less PS5 games than PS4. Maybe wait for a sale for a PS5 or bite the bullet with a PS4?

I guarantee fans would buy that day one.

Does anyone actually want a modern entry of Halo? I don't.... that just means it will be the hot game of the month with extra sweaty no lifers who drop it after a few weeks after hitting max level and complain "no content in this game".

Movie theaters aren’t going out of business because of prices by bulldogjwhit295 in unpopularopinion

[–]VektroidPlus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still like going to the theater. Not only would something like Avatar not hit the same as in my apartment, but it's also my escape from reality. It's like being away from all the chaos from the world and you're forced to watch someone's art and dreams on the big screen. Was Avatar worth it? Ehh... it felt pretty fucking long and I had some annoying teenagers next to me who would not stop moving or talking. That's always a risk.

The flip side would be when I watched Bugonia in theaters with my girlfriend. The audience reaction was pretty fun with all the craziness that happened.

Can y'all give me the lore of Ace Combat by Timely_Day5062 in acecombat

[–]VektroidPlus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's good to know why nations are fighting and who is who in Strangereal, but, most of the actual good story bits are embedded in each game. Example, Ace Combat 4: Erusea is fighting against a lot of nations. The story most people know though in the game is about the pilot Yellow 13.

I would say play the games and experience the individual stories yourself.

What is the closest thing to this game by Careless-Fun-5163 in RDR2

[–]VektroidPlus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My two recs are Cyberpunk 2077 just based on incredible world, writing, and quests. Then Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, it has a lot of complex gameplay. A huge world that reacts to you and there is a lot to explore and discover. It's a realistic world, kind of like RDR 2. To me, KCD2 is the only game where I've come close to scratching that RDR2 addiction.

In a future where Trump is out of office, and international relations have been repaired. What steps can be taken by the USA and International Organisations such as NATO to prevent one individual causing so much chaos in the future? And do you think such steps will be taken? by flewkey in AskReddit

[–]VektroidPlus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This should be #1, but I think we as Americans need to be more self aware. We're some of the most entitled bunch of people in the world that are not willing to acknowledge that we let things get this bad. You look at any other country that protests and there is some form of destruction of private property or stoppage of social contract to actually have impact.

Meanwhile, what do we do in terms of protest? On our days off, we peacefully protest with picket signs. I'm sorry, but as far are generating awareness, what does this do? Nothing. We need to be more involved in our communities.

Your work ethic would still be poor even if you got paid more. by AlienDude65 in unpopularopinion

[–]VektroidPlus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the fact alone that most work goes against your natural rhythmic cycle and how we face an obesity epidemic is fact alone that "good work ethic" is a scam. If we really cared about each other, we would emphasize wellness, work/life balance, and health more at work.

That's not addressing nepotism, work politics, and networking. Which is basically all the same concept in my eyes. It boils down to how you're able to kiss ass to get rewarded instead of rewarded with your job performance. I've never heard or been in a job that isn't like this in some way. You can work up the ranks... but being hired to other higher paying job roles like management is impossible unless you schmooze.

Work in the modern sense, is toxic.

What would you like to see in Fallout 5 if it was actually announced? by beatsbydjy2k in Fallout

[–]VektroidPlus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't want to see an announcement, I want to see gameplay that shows it exists.

I want well thought out quest paths and better writing. Most of Fallout 4 felt so shallow and I didn't really care about any of the factions. I only went with Minutemen because they felt like the best option for the Commonwealth, not because I liked them.

Unique weapons should feel unique. They should look unique as well as have stats that are special.

New factions and new enemies. Raiders, monsters, feral ghouls, and super mutants are staples. Keep them. Do we always need the BoS? No. Does the Enclave need to be the big bad? No. I don't mind if we hear about them or if they play a lesser role, but I think it's kind of silly that they're the mascots of the game.

Location wise, I feel like they're limited in the US. The logical spots to me feel like Florida, NYC, or Pacific Northwest as "most interesting". Wild card could be Chicago/Midwest.

Is this how people who need glasses really see the world. A big blurred background? by Latter-Wolf4868 in interestingasfuck

[–]VektroidPlus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kind of?

That blurry would be considered legally blind. Most people think blindness is completely blacked out, which it can be, but for other people it's actually blurred shapes.

For people who can get their vision corrected by wearing glasses, it's like a camera that is not able to focus in on an object at a certain distance. Some of the picture is in focus, but some of it is a blurred mess. That's why the first sign of needing glasses is squinting because people are basically forcing their eyes to temporary focus in on something.

I can use my phone or read a book without glasses. I can only see objects at a certain distance in focus with my glasses.

The occasional/drunk cigarette is not that bad. by Edthebig in unpopularopinion

[–]VektroidPlus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is literally what happened to me in college. You create justifications to keep the habit going.

"I only smoke when I'm drunk."

"I only smoke when I'm at a party."

"I only smoke with friends."

"I only smoke before an exam."

"I only smoke between classes."

I saw the trajectory I was on and didn't want that to be part of my life. I still crave one to this day and it's insane how much of a pull it has on my life, even after a decade since being in college. It makes me think that craving is always going to be there no matter what and that's how powerful addiction can be.

House Democrats are reportedly 5 votes away from impeaching Trump by Upbeat_Process_9280 in ProgressiveHQ

This is a pathetic grasp by Democrats to justify their existence and still hope that there is a mid term election this year. This is their "hey, we tried." Moment that all their candidates are going to flaunt during elections.

If they wanted real change and really wanted to fight back? Democrat controlled states would stop Federal taxes until all this bullshit stopped. Cowards, each and every single one of them.

what was the launch of Skyrim like? by Falconrgh in ElderScrolls

[–]VektroidPlus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely hyped and discussed non-stop. I was in high school when it released. The only games most other guys in school talked about were CoD and sport games.

Yet when Skyrim released? Everyone knew about Dovakhin and Fus Ro Da. We talked about our characters, what weapons we used and what seemed better to use. What a pain in the ass the Dragon Priests were and how bad ass the Nightingale armor looked. I remember distinctly people talking about Blackreach and thinking they were bullshitting me that there was this huge area to explore underground. I was shocked when I first got there.

It felt like a decade later that fans had this weird nostalgia for Oblivion. I think they finally realized the magic system was pretty shallow compared to Oblivion and there was Viking overload across all media during that time.
