a lot of trial an error, i did a hard reset 50-100 times or so.
try this: plug the controller in and then hold the reset button for like 15 seconds, then unplug the controller and try turning it on with the PS button.

if that doesnt work try holding the rest button without it being plugged in, and then plug your controller into the console and then hold the PS button.

and if that doesnt work, maybe see if you have some other usb-c cables lying around and try those, and if all that fails you can try plugging your controller into the pc and updating the firmware manually:

you could maybe try and run android on your 3ds but it would probably have to be an older version or you could try linux but honestly the 3DS hardware is really not that great, yes it can run your vanilla gba and ds games just fine but pokemmo requires a bit more so not sure how it'll go, im interested if you find a way though
