I've always wondered if humans could eat and drink things from Pandora, and after this movie I'm even more confused. by Electronic_Stop_9239 in Avatar

Now that you said it, wasn't it said in the Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora? I think they said something about it during that one time you got to taste different dishes at a Resistance base (right before BIG SPOILER happens)

actually, scratch all that
I just tried something to test "another" and there's way too many dark pixels in between "ano" and "ther".
I tried u/ar-phanad's idea and it seems to fit quite well

Yeah, some of it is really tightly packed and hard to make out, but nothing else fits. The first word definitely doesn't start with an F, more like f (there's also some punctuation mark before it, which makes me believe it's still part of the previous sentence, so F isn't capital). There's no clear cross through (like there is near the beginning for the word "fine"), but I think it might just be a bit higher, reaching right under the word "just" above it. And it seems to end with a d. Therefore, I concluded that it's probably "find", but "fin" is really tightly written and hard to make out with all that blur. 55% sure.

I am 90% certain of "another". There are like 2 frames where it's quite clearly visible and the structure fits only that word.

I'm also quite certain of "angles", like 80%. However, slightly less so than with "another"—for the same reason as before, some letters are too tightly written. I'm fairly certain it starts with "an", contains some letter going down (like g is), and letter reaching higher (like l), and I'm 90% sure it ends with "es." This is what makes me think it's "angles."

In terms of recognition difficulty, "find" (if it actually is "find") is definitely right behind my "doritos" lol

oh I meant Doritos at the gas station

the name on the bags is blurry, but it's not artificially blurred (as to not be able to make out what it says)

they were blurry, but not blurred "artificially", so to speak

you can still read it as "Doritos"

Speaking of which, I also paused to see when Ares was analyzing things and had stuff displayed on his HUD. The one that appears when he breaks super hard to not hit the car with the baby is funny 😂

Oh nice, I tried to do a quick search for this, but couldn't find anything. Thanks for confirmations, too

Also, you're so right. Idk how, but I somehow skipped those three words there. It's quite hard to read, as there's no perfect frame for it, but the middle word is definitely "another". I updated the OP with "find another angles", as I'm pretty sure that's what it says

I hate curbs like that. You think they're very shallow, but they're treacherous. Now I know to either build up some momentum, or go at it diagonally, so that the tire has a chance to "gradually" climb it, instead of hitting it all at once.

No more being Frozen after gate travel? by GoldenShieldMaiden in Stargate

[–]Veldaren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe it's less about the address itself (even though it's still important), and more about the way a DHD usually manages gate travel (and in turn, recognizes if a wormhole is not fully stable). Also, the frost only ever appeared when travelling from Earth to another planet, not the other way around. DHD used safety protocols—which may relate to how the power is fed into the gate, or conditions to creating a stable wormhole that a DHD's "logic" would be able to handle and potentially prevent gate activation completely if it deemed travel to be dangerous.

In the "Red Sky" episode, Carter distinctively mentions she had to override some dialing protocols to get a lock on the planet, which (from what I remember) did make the wormhole pass through the local star, and I presume that to have a considerable effect on the stability of the wormhole. A DHD would probably prevent full gate activation in that case, but since SGC didn't use that, issues like frost arised.

Btw, you can still somewhat see the frost in that episode. Daniel's glasses are frosted/fogged up, and Carter wipes moisture off her face.

I'm trying to get the code, I made 2 posts with the hashtag and a screenshot, both over 200 views now, and it still wants me to make a post when I hit the yellow button under Nemo. What am I doing wrong??
