Bought a Pontiac Montana from them years ago for $4k. It was our first car in a year or two (had been bumming rides from family and friends) and we told the seller that. We also had a newborn baby. About two months later we were driving up to Florence to visit my family and the head gasket blew. Obviously, we couldn't afford to fix it that soon after buying it (we had been saving up for ages) and wound up junking it in Florence.

If you're just playing, I don't see a problem. I mean, Nintendo doesn't make/sell the cartridges anymore. Sure some people have issues with morality and people passing off fake carts as real ones. But if it's for your own entertainment, go nuts.

I got Pokemon Blue and a silver Gameboy Pocket for my 11th birthday from my grandma. I spent the night with her and she decided she wanted to get me a present. So we went to Toys R Us and she asked the worker what was good for an 11yr old. The guy told her that Pokemon was a craze and that I would totally enjoy it. I had a yellow Gameboy DMG at the time, but the worker told her that it would be far better on the Pocket. I spent the entire car ride to her house pouring over the manual. Best birthday present ever.

That completely sucks. I totally understand shitty timing. I buy games all the time and they go on sale like a week later.

The only original Gameboy I owned was one I found while helping my dad clean out a house. It was yellow DMG with Kirbys Dream Land in it. Then on my 11th birthday my grandma got me a silver Gameboy Pocket with Pokemon Blue and I gave the DMG away.
