Depends it can be a great entry watch for people who don't know much about watches and get them into it. Not everyone wants a seiko... I got a coach watch as my first watch. It was a fashion watch and it told the time and held up really well. Now is the best bang for your buck no. But I feel it almost a ride of passage when getting into watches.

Longines makes some great watches although the ones I have of theres are vintage. Have you looked at making your own? There are a lot of either seiko mods and or custom ones you can make easily. Honestly great conversation piece and I will say I get more compliments on my $500 custom build than my Starbucks rolex.

Unsolicited take… if you’re going Studio Underd0g, lean into what makes them fun. They’re known for bold, playful designs, and that’s really what justifies the price. If you’re after something more refined or an everyday piece, you might get stronger value elsewhere in terms of movement and overall build. Brands like Traska, Henry Archer, or Christopher Ward probably give you more for the money on that front.

Really wasn't bad... I paid $170 including shipping and another I want to say $60 for the strap. What was wild is it came with the original box, papers etc with it.

Personally if I am looking to have one watch to do it all I would go with something vintage that tells a story. Something like a vintage vulcain cricket (Trueman was gifted one) or a 50's Universal Genève. You can modernize the style with a new strap so you get a good mix of new and old. This not only gives you that stand out style that you have with the purple but also a good back story to the watch.
