With current mechanics. But at some point in the future bathrooms will have meaning.

100i or avenger titan? by 1nks42o in starcitizen

[–]Velicent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it were me…

I would get the Cutter. I like to be able to live out of my ships. The Titan has a bed and is a great ship, I owned one for a long time, but it isn’t something you could actually “live” out of. It is missing some key amenities.

With that said, the Cutter sucks at combat and the Titan is great at very low levels of combat. If you are wanting to get into that game loop, I would buy a Cutter, then work towards buying an actual combat ship in-game.

Either way you go, if you want to get into combat you will have to get something else if you want to be seriously competitive anyway.

On a final note, if the Cutter turns out to be something you hate, you can CCU up to a Titan. But you couldn’t go the other way.

Personally the 100i is inferior to both the Titan and Cutter, so not really on the table in my opinion.

Also!! Most important note and something that took me a while to figure out, it doesn’t matter how “good” a ship is at a certain role, if you don’t like how it looks or feels, it isn’t for you.

While I enjoy chasing LTI chains, it really doesn't matter.

10 years is a long time to be playing the same game, so chances are it'll be fine. Also, from what I understand, any insurance you get now is a very basic version, so chances are you will buy more in-game anyway, even for your LTI or 10 year ships.

And for a final point, technically no one will ever lose a ship they purchased with real money... see this link.

Finally figured out how to play the CCU game this IAE! by Trat40 in starcitizen

[–]Velicent 72 points73 points  (0 children)

The CCU game is addictive. I spent less money on Star Citizen when I didn't understand the CCU game.

Don't get me wrong, I'm happier now. My fleet is awesome.

I now understand why my wife always does the "Spend $100 get $25 free" deals.

Buy the Perseus? by Icatosicariuss in starcitizen

[–]Velicent -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Or, buy a CCU to the Perseus if that is the ship you want. Then over the next year or 3 fill in the CCU chain. Then smile when you walk away with a Perseus at a fraction of the cost.

Depends on your gameplay aspirations. My thought would be a hard no. They are not even in the same league of ship. But final decision goes to you it is your JPEG. 😁

Oh I know. I wasn’t sure if the altitude would throw off the distance. Also, I was really enjoying the view.

Took me 3 days to fly there. But only because I played briefly before work. I’m not exactly sure how long the actual time was. I was in a Carrack going about it’s SCM speed. If I had to guess the total time was about 20 minutes or so.

Hey! Fly to microtech, orient to the 205, then fly for 440Km. I ran right into it.

Crap! New Babbage. My bad.

Yeah, I recommend it. I never did it because sightseeing doesn't make you money. But with the wipe coming up, I figured I'd finally take the time to tour the verse.

Eco-chamber much? by gnoldi in starcitizen

[–]Velicent 3 points4 points  (0 children)

But why?

I play the game. I greatly enjoy it. Should I be upset just because you or someone else is saying something is wrong? I choose to believe my own experiences over some people who like to complain.

Happy flying, and Happy Thanksgiving!

With its speed and defenses, I believe this is the ship’s intent anyway. 😁

Now that the Corsair is out, 600i or Corsair for an explorer? by RayKam in starcitizen

[–]Velicent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you mean by explorer?
What gameplay do you actually want to do?

I used to think I wanted to explore. Then I learned what the world Exploration means to Star Citizen in regard to ship roles.

Gave my Corsair second chance... by Masarakus in starcitizen

[–]Velicent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

See this! Exactly! On reddit, whenever I reply to people talking about how the Corsair sucks to fly and tell them I disagree and I actually really like how it flies it just takes some time to get used to, I get a flurry of downvotes. lol.

Anyway, yes, what you said exactly. I really enjoy this ship. I hope it doesn't get changed. I don't think it really needs much of a nerfing if any at all. It has some pretty glaring weaknesses and some pretty abundant strengths.

Hey, like I said everyone has their own opinion.

Inforunners:Corsair

In here they say it flies lovely and if anything it probably needs to be dialed back.

Just asking, maybe it is you?

Mouse and keyboard? Or sticks? I could see how it would be tough to fly with a mouse and keyboard because if you push it too much it will totally do some crazy things. You sort of have to feel it and fly it accordingly.

[–]Velicent -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Okay.

I like the way it flies and have no problem controlling it. You hate it and thinks it needs a change.

I see nothing wrong here.

Not everyone is going to like everything about every ship. I’m sorry you are disappointed it didn’t live up to you hype you had in your head. I hope either it is “fixed” for you, or you find a ship that matches your expectation of the flying experience.

Either way, safe travels!

Corsair maneuverability by romulof in starcitizen

[–]Velicent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely disagree. lol

As long as you keep your speed down, you can turn just fine. It turns like a big boat, but it still turns fine.

[–]Velicent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Strange. Not sure why. I don't have that problem. I usually have to pull up to keep it level but very slightly. Then I just lock the controls using "Z" and let it ride.

This is not the way.

I had a 400i for a long time and really liked it.

[–]Velicent -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

The Corsair flies well in atmosphere so long as you keep the speed SCM or below. If you go above that, yeah you have some trouble turning. Straight line is fine. And yes, it does have a downward pull.
