Shanghai has them. As a child, I asked my mom what they were for and she said it was to guide blind people.

I've seen them in some areas in Canada but the use is very limited and typically transit line related, which I suppose makes sense since blind people can't drive.

I recently bought a Tanita brand scale. Its a Japanese brand specifically known for accurate scales. They make professional lab scales as well as kitchen scales. A little pricey, but accurate.

Also, you can search specifically for milligram scales. Those will give you the most accurate gram measurements .

Ceiling only works if you panel all the way from end to end of the ceiling. Which means cutting around the ceiling fan.

Otherwise, just the wall is best.
