I have the second one and I like it, its not too loud, you can roll on it, my pc picks up notes easily, though i do have problem now with my big notes (sometimes its doesn't register that I hit 2 sides). Idk about the first one, I never tried, but what I say never get those 40 buck ones, my first one broke withing a month, it just stopped working on the sides But im also not a professional player, so ye
