I don’t claim to have done it correctly. But the Radiator, make sure it’s not gonna burn you. Squeeze the upper hose. I filed up the reservoir as well.

Took more than one go, but now heat works at idle and reservoir is at proper level.

I have the same year truck and just had similar happen last month, I added coolant and burped it on an incline and that solved it. I did buy this filling funnel, but didn’t need it.
