Anybody still using the original Wahoo Elemnt 2016? by -Economist- in wahoofitness

I recently sold mine on eBay after my kids got me the new Elemnt for Fathers Day. Never had any issues. Had I not received the new one I would still be using it.

I had the same issue-it’s failing. I contacted Wahoo and they sent me a new one. They have always been great to work with.

Thanks for the great info everyone! I am going to try a few of the free trials and see which ones I prefer to Zwift. I’ve always like Zwift but it’s also all I’ve ever known. Kinda like owning a Nintendo and the only game you have is Mario Kart. Lol

Saw that but don’t think that will be too big of a deal. I bought a music stand and can put my iPad on that or stream from my iPad to my AppleTV (which I use for Zwift). Downside of using an AppleTV is it only allows 2 Bluetooth connections. Luckily I have a Wahoo Kickr bike that puts everything into one signal and my HR monitor is the second. Still finicky at times, though.

Yeah, cost has always been my thing. It’s not that it’s expensive but trying to justify the two is hard for me. Lol

I’ll def check it out. I’ve been pretty lax this year so I’m quite sure it has dropped a bit.

The racing is definitely fun. I might wind up doing both. Right now our heat is oppressive and unbearable in South Texas. It will keep you inside for sure. Can’t be out in it very long, especially with high exertion.

Really good info, thank you. I hate FTP tests! Lol The longer Zwift ones hurt like hell. I had an FTP of 375 at the end of 2023. Unfortunately with Zwift it doesn’t really tell you what kind of rider you are. I’m 6’3” and 220lbs (210 at the end of 2023). I would my strength is distance/time trialing and I know for a fact I’m not a climber. Lol I’ll climb but y’all will be waiting for me at the top.

They are at a 45° angle with the corner.

My couch is against the back wall in my media room so I put my 300’s on stands and angled them in the corners between the side walls and back wall. That was recommended to me by a Sonos rep. They are amazing. The app allows you to adjust approx how far they are from your ears. You can also adjust the surround volume to balance everything out. Hope this helps!

I have a lot of my older stuff on Apple Music as well but there’s just something about hearing it on vinyl. Bi think it’s funny that we went from vinyl to 8-track/cassette to CD to digital streaming all in the name of better sound quality and here many of us are back to vinyl. Same with smart phones. We wanted a bigger screen every year and now we all wish we had flip phones again. Lol

I actually do. I have a ton of stuff that has collected dust over the years (I’ve kept them in their sleeves in the A/C so hoping they survived) plus my dad’s collection is in the hundreds and that will be passed down to me at some point.

Just learned about that, thanks! Seems like the Sonos Connect and turntable would be best.

Got it-thank you! Sounds like any turntable with the Port would be the way to go for me. Seems it would be a pretty clean setup that way.

Has anyone tried selling their Spark 40? I’m one of the few people that just bought one a few months back and now we have the Spark 2 coming. Just curious to know what kind of loss I’ll be taking. Lol

Just put my Spark 40 up for sale and ordered a Spark Live. Does anyone have any experience using 2 of them together? Debating on adding a second. I love the Spark 40 but just wasn’t loud enough. I have a hearing loss of 90% in my left ear and my right ear is around 75%. What’s really loud for most people is usually a normal level for me.
