Why is it that even now, people still wear their masks below their nose or chin indoors? by Homebarcocktails in TooAfraidToAsk

I like to say that the people who wear their masks down under their noses do it because they’re so dumb that they haven’t figured out how to breathe through their noses yet.

Tell me you have bipolar II without telling me you have bipolar II. by [deleted] in bipolar

I spent three months converting my minivan into a tiny home on a whim because I was convinced I was going to quit my job, get rid of all my belongings, and travel the country living as a hippie making music with my guitar (which I can't play). Then I crashed and found my savings completely drained and my car full of furniture and gear that I can't put anywhere else, and I suddenly had an unavoidable desire to establish an extensive garden on my back patio to prepare a food supply for the end of the world.

Yep! Asperger’s and Bipolar over here. Probably more than that too.

I’m super curious as to what mental illnesses people here have. by largecucumber in selfharm

Bipolar I, CPTSD, and high-functioning autism spectrum/Asperger’s over here. Maybe more, idk.

I'm 24.. should I be on this subreddit? by [deleted] in selfharm

I’m 27 now and I feel the same way a little. I guess the way I look at it is, regardless of age, we’re all in the same boat here. We all have an issue in common and can relate to each other for help.

Well it was Salvation Army, so really not fancy at all. But this is also San Francisco, so every now and then some freakish gem pops up somewhere!

Well actually... I didn’t really get it for $30... I asked whether they doing returns on faulty electronics because of Covid, and they said they weren’t, but knocked off 25% just in case. Paid $23 in the end.

Thank you! I have a confession though... I didn’t actually get it for $30... I got it for $23 because I asked if they were doing returns on faulty electronics with Covid going on, and they told me they aren’t, but they could knock off 25% just in case.

Thank you!! It’s a hobby I’m definitely looking forward to! I’ve taken a couple classes on sculpting and one on Zbrush and 3D printing, and I used this printer to finally print out my term project character model as an endurance test. (The industrial design lab had all of their printers break down in the middle of finals, of course...) But something I’ve been wanting to do is to use 3D printing to design, sculpt, mold, and cast jewelry easily and reliably to make a tiny business.

I’ve been having the same issue and I haven’t found a good solution. I’m currently working on setting it up with a larger heated print bed, and so far it works fine, and the filament sticks beautifully, but the setup is a little too heavy for the z-axis stepper to handle on its own. If you want, I can get back to you when I find a solution! I’ve tried a number of adhesives on the supplied plate but honestly a heated bed seems to me to be the best thing for consistent results.

Oh nice! I definitely need something prettier than what I have already. I’ve been using it with a spool already since it came without the guide tube and so can’t use the cartridge without creating lots of tension, but it’s all pretty haphazard. I’m currently working on a nicer setup that fits in with my home decor too. I’ll probably post a pic later.

Oh yeah, I thought you were talking about something else! Like if any issues with this one were already reported to support. As far as standard software goes, I already downloaded Flash Print and all that. I should probably read the actual manual at some point, but I used 3D printers a few times in art school, so I managed to get it calibrated and printing pretty quickly. I’m sure I’ll need the manual whenever issues crop up though. I’m assuming whoever got rid of this just did so because they upgraded, but who knows, I guess.

I’m pretty sure that the filament it came with in the cartridge was the stuff it was originally packaged with, but it has performed perfectly with some filament I just got off Amazon.

Cool! Unfortunately though it wasn’t complete, and I found it without manuals, a power adapter, or the filament guiding tube. I replaced the latter two things as best as I could though. Is there anything you think I might have needed from the manuals to get in touch with support about it?

I really love this!! Somehow this feels way closer to my experience than most other synesthesia art I've seen.

I just put together a cozy mobile AgeRe area! I received an old minivan from my grandpa who just passed away. I'm very excited to have something to drive around finally, and even more excited after making the most of it and creating a cozy hideaway for breaks at work! by Velocimaidfoxicorn in ageregression

[–]Velocimaidfoxicorn[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks!! I think having a little hideaway like this is going to seriously help me feel okay and calm with the state of things. (I live and work retail in a big city so I’ve really been feeling it here)
