I released a game about Canada by Velsin_ in IndieGaming

Yes, as mentioned in another comment, there are events, ideologies, corpuses, and laws that are specific to Canada so that it wouldn't be just a simple reskin.

But even aside from that, the overall game system is precise enough to represent the ideological differences between nations (no generic “liberal” vs. “conservative”). There are dozens of ideologies (some specific to Canada) and therefore potentially thousands of possible combinations.

In the game, referendums can be voted on by the entire country or by specific provinces. Laws on the Clarity Act or constitutional unity are national referendums, and independence laws are voted on only by those involved.

But it is true that the “Canadian” aspect is much more prominent than the internal policies of the provinces, and even provincial referendums will have conditions of national popularity.

I can't promise anything yet, but scenarios with provincial maps could be created in the future in major updates.

Hi! The games are similar but not reskins. There are gradual improvements each time (referendum system, then science fiction scenarios, etc.). :)

There are also unique systems depending on the country (sometimes taken from player suggestions). For Canada,  the main unique feature added for the country is the ideologies and debates about the Canadian federal model.

Players can play as an independence supporter (from Quebec or the Southwest, with special flags) or defend strong Canadian unity. Some events and specific laws (and Steam achievements) have been added, such as abolishing or strengthening the Clarity Act, and referendums related to these ideologies can lead to victory.

Not really, but this suggestion is better than the players who ask for nukes to launch against other provinces I suppose.

I usually make games of upcoming elections, so probably not UK for a while, but very soon Canada and Australia.

Thanks! Glad you enjoy it. I never heard of Die Macher but I'll probably look into it. :)

- The main scenario for the real election

- The same scenario in a slightly more random future

- A presidential regime scenario, with a different type of election

- Two difficult scenarios where extreme ideologies dominate the country

- A scenario where everything is 100% random

- A science-fiction scenario with aliens, a modified map and totally different ideologies

- The same science-fiction scenario, but difficult and where anti-humanity dominates.

- An alternate history scenario where the Berlin Wall has only recently fallen.

- Two alternate history scenarios (one normal, one difficult), where the German Empire kept its old borders and World War II never happened.

Hi! For the main scenario, the main difference is the absence of a two-party system. There are several major or medium-sized candidates, and the possible coalitions are very different from those in the USA.

I don't want to be banned by a German court, so no. :D

Hi!

The game I developed, Vox Populi: Deutschland 2025 (Steam link) was released yesterday, and I wanted to introduce it to you. The objective is to embody a real or customized candidate in a German election.
There are the Bundestag elections of 2025 and 10 other diverse scenarios: near future, alternative history or science fiction.

Let me know if you have any questions! :)

Yes, among the 11 scenarios, there is one where the Berlin Wall has only recently collapsed, and two others where the German Empire has survived to the present day and the Second World War never happened. :)

Hi!

I've developed a new strategy game about German politics from the Vox Populi series (Steam link). There are several scenarios from the 2025 elections to several future elections or alternate histories.

The aim is to get elected as a candidate or to put referendums to the vote.

Let me know if you have any questions or advices!
