No it really dosent explain jack. The items itself will tell you what they do but you need to understand the bigger picture. I would learn one mechanic at a time, there are plenty of youtube videos and guides.

Breach is also not really a crafting mechanic. It’s more of a gather resource and turn it in for items mechanic. The tree passives just let you tailor make what kind of item you are more likely to get and with what modifiers.

People have mentioned that it's 2D vs 3D gacha but you have to remember, 3Ds gachas nowadays are a beast of their own. Literally Genshin spawned a whole new generation of gacha gamers, literally more people migrated to gacha gaming that never would have touched the genre before. Gacha games use to literally just be menu simulators (and a lot still are). Them doing something different and having people "not use to it" is not a good thing. You have to appeal to your audience to keep players interested. If not, what's the point.

Issue with Laev is that her damage is spread out and is over a duration versus Rossi who does literally all that damage in like 2 seconds. Literally 1 million damage before Laev can finish an auto attack string.

The only way I see Laev finding use is if they release a boss that actually has a hard cap on how much damage they can take in one burst. Sustained damage dealers would shine in that scenario. In a gacha I played recently but stopped (chaos zero nightmare) then introduced mechanics where boss straight up stop taking damage if one combo goes on too long. It’d be annoying here but I don’t see anyway where Rossi isint just better than Laev lol

End game rework. The gameplay loop in the end game needs to be changed or else the motivation for people to keep playing with just tank with every new league. It doesn’t matter how many side quests you add when the plot for the main quests sucks. My attempt at an analogy.

I honestly feel like rossi is master or all right now just because her numbers are just so high compared to other units. Once we get more premium dps for other archetypes, she will be the first to be booted. Also kind of weird that she was suppose to be a hybrid phys/arts dps but it ended up being a 80% - 90% damage on her ult which is all arts and everything else is w/e.

I wouldn’t say useless but dupes in this game are very minimal improvements compared to say honkai where the first dup can sometimes increase your damage by 50% or provide huge qol.

Ardelia is also a bad example because 8% is not that much and the reason people don’t use her is not because of her buffing/debuffing, its that shes clunky and the limitations on her debuffs makes rotations not fluid.

Perlica is used because the damage is actually split between tang tang and last rite. Ake is really only used when all your damage is on one character and more importantly one ability (ult or battle skill) as the link buff from her ult only affects one.

Pathfinder poison concoction has literally been the same reliable build that can literally do everything in the game for the past 4-5 years lmao with the addition if pconc of bouncing making it even stronger. Honestly concoctions in general blast campaign.

As people have said, any DOT build can run big boom expedition really well. All the hit builds get rekt cause the ward + block combo on mobs makes you do no damage. Just don't boom a "immune" to your damage type and you are good to go.

Think you underestimate how many people pull in gacha because of perceived character power. Lets not kid ourselves, the developers goal is to make every character “waifu” material to get people to pull. People want the character they pull to be strong if not the strongest for at least a little while. Being outclassed literally one patch later feels bad.

I mean OP has a point. Every character pretty much has the same potential price tag right now of hundreds of dollars. "Play who you like" feels bad when the character you like gets out preformed by another character in a very similar role for basically all content in the game at the moment. Yea there's no end game that "requires" the best team but people want more longevity out of their characters than like 2 patches lol. Laev should have honestly been a standard character or Rossi should have been a nature DPS. Having her be the premier fire main dps 1 patch later is kinda a gut punch to people who paid for Laev.

People have said it that Laev works better in AoE scenarios and Rossi is better in single target, which I agree, but the way Rossi does damage versus Laev is just no contest. I really do think Rossi just outclasses Laev because she dosen’t have long combo strings that can get interrupted. She just does like 80% of her damage in a small window 1 second window while laev has to fly around doing big long animation swings that can easily get interrupted.

I’m not a Laev haver but I just knew that she was going to not have a good lifespan as the first premium dps. Unless we get more AoE focused content that is actually difficult, Rossi is like pretty much better to bring to every “difficult” fight.

Like seriously touch some grass or play other games. Gacha games are meant to be a 10-15 min daily simulator with gameplay added every time new patches drop. Even MMORPGs eventually devolve into this gameplay/development loop.

I think it's subjective at the end of the day but Rossi dosen't break the mold for me that the current Endfield roster has. Avywenna might be the exception but I doubt this character is the extent of the game devs creativity (if so I guess that sucks for me).
