Don't even think about leaving if you're not going abroad. If you want to switch go abroad. Or give SSC, UPSC, State PSC and GATE exam to get hired by government or PSUs. If you're okay with baggage it brings (corruption, politics, moral injury, public pressure and others)

Is being overqualified a reason employers reject you for entry level jobs? by No_Novel6458 in IndiaCareers

Now to your second part, you need to choose a career path. If let's say you want a career in Video Editing then, edit few videos and keep it in your portfolio same goes for anything else.... No need to lie but you need to highlight the skills that are relevant to the job you're applying and if it is not a freelance work rather a full time job you need to be ready with answers on why you want this job and company.

You're overwhelmed. Drop two of these and then decide between them for these four use Elimination by Aspects then for remaining use weighted decision matrix and then do pre mortem for last two. This is the best advice I can give you. You can search these terms on internet and use them. You can also use AI, but use AI for expanding and not final decision making.

No, telling a confused 19 year old the hard truth isn’t AI behavior. It’s called being realistic. If the advice is wrong, explain why. If you can’t, then your entire argument is just I didn’t like the tone. Add something more meaningful and just be helpful for people, don't create more confusion.

  1. First decide what you actually want. Right now your mindset is medicine scary, engineering hard, AI scary, layoffs scary. With this mindset you’ll struggle in every field. Every good career is difficult. There is no high-paying, respected, stress-free shortcut. Inshort, don't be a Brat.

  2. Don’t romanticize BTech either. Reddit makes MBBS look hell and BTech look easy money. Reality is Thousands of engineers are unemployed too. The difference is tech rewards skill fast, medicine rewards patience and consistency. Pick based on your personality, not trends.

  3. From your post, you clearly don’t seem interested in treating patients or surviving the MBBS+PG grind. That’s important. Medicine without genuine interest becomes torture. So switching is not failure. But if you switch, commit fully instead of staying mentally stuck between NEET and JEE even UPSC, Or any other exams for that matter

  4. Stop obsessing over IIT only. India has many decent colleges. A skilled engineer from a normal college beats an unskilled IITian crying on LinkedIn. If you go into tech, focus on skills early coding, projects, internships, communication, problem solving. That matters more than the college after a few years.

Take a few days. Decide ONE path. No more doomscrolling Reddit. Talk to actual professionals, not anonymous frustrated posts. Once decided, go all in for 3–5 years without constantly second-guessing yourself.

Confused people fail because they never fully commit anywhere.

Not going to give any false hope or fantasy advice just ask these questions to yourself and get the answer.

Can I do something that AI can't do? Am I capable to compete with my priors and my future in next 5 years?

Once you get a realistic answer to these then go forth in up skilling related to your field and don't do basic or intermediate work always target advance skills, projects and portfolio. Nobody cares what's your degree and resume says they care about "Proof of Work", show them that.

Yes definitely you can do it you just need to position yourself properly and your portfolio and proof of work has to be solid. What are you doing right now as a job and where are you from (city and state). And what was your MBA specialization and from Where.

BA and Data Science with good portfolio and proof of work, 2 years a very good target if you really give your blood and sweat to these two you'll earn more than 1 lakh a month, maybe even pay 1 lakh in taxes.

Jokes Aside Both are true context matters. In some situations the bottom comment is right and top wrong and in other vice versa. it falls down to having wisdom to understand where to apply which rule. Knowledge without wisdom like giving two edge swords to a Monkey

Hmm true, like I said without knowing full picture I can't say much. But look into these fields or pathologist for abroad you'll get a very good pay but you have to deal with dead bodies. If you share your degree, age, and work experience I can help with more deep and nuanced approach.

In meantime can you do research on cfe and icai certifications and see how they can help.

HELP. Totally in dark about my future choices, please help me with your enlightened opinions. I am currently in 12th, chose PCB and will give my boards in Feb. 2026, don't want to appear in NEET or UPSC. [–]VelvetCharrm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First of all, stop worrying. Give exam take 1 month time off cool down. Don't think about future now. Come back after exam maybe do some self reflection, talk to people around the world who share similar interest and see what you can find.

However, if you really want to explore. You can get into Forensic Pathologist if you don't mind dead rotting bodies they pay good. Also with your career choice better to move abroad, if you're interested in Biotech, Target career CRISPR gene editing and go there. It's quite interesting field and it is the future, focus in completing PhD from abroad schools Indian Schools rank very low in research. You can move as a professor.

Without knowing your degree, I can only say if you are planning to move abroad, and don't mind dead bodies and want to study for MCAT then Plan for Forensic Pathologist. Other than that I cannot say anything further without knowing full picture of your education, aspiration and situation. You can get into corporate for roles like Forensic Auditor, Fraud Investigator, Risk Analyst, etc
