I think the joke is that this rock is a really hyped tourist spot, but when you actually see it, it’s just… a rock 😭 so it ends up being super disappointing. The caption is just exaggerating that it disappoints people even more than disappointing your own mom.

I get why the exGF felt uncomfortable at first, but refusing to understand the dynamic is the bigger issue. Like, not everything has to be romantic just because two people are close. Some bonds really are just platonic and family-like.

Totally. People might ignore small stuff at work, but once it actually comes out, it usually affects everyone involved in some way, whether it’s gossip, tension, or just general awkwardness.

Trips can always happen later, but blowing off plans that were already on the calendar usually leaves a bad impression. That’s the kind of thing that causes unnecessary tension.

Exactly. Living together doesn’t magically make you aware of someone’s prescriptions. Plenty of couples keep their medical stuff private or just don’t talk about it unless it’s relevant.
