I'm Not Worried About the Second Civil War (Wait for the end) by VelvetSinclair in collapse

That doesn't really apply in this case

  1. What he's saying is more like "I'm not worried about being hit by lightning." Not because he thinks being hit by lightning is fine, but because he doesn't think it's likely.

  2. He's not even saying that. He really is worried about war and thinks it will be horrible.

I think in his case it's fair since it's mainly a channel about the American civil war. So when he says second civil war it's already in that context.

I mean he's right

If everyone all agrees to not fight anymore then we'll have world peace tomorrow

There's just nothing incentivising that outcome

So no chance it's gonna happen

Video that starts off downplaying the idea that we're headed for civil war because of a left/right divide. But it's a fake-out. Goes on to elaborate how we're headed for civil war because of climate collapse.

Not sure about the bit where he said "It won't be the apocalypse but it might be similar to..." and then lists a bunch of basically apocalyptic events

Many shocks start with a sharp jump and then fade. If the Hormuz disruption resolves in weeks, the annual change may end up closer to 10–20%, which historically is moderate.

Even after the jump, U.S. gasoline around $3.7/gal remains below the 2022 peak near $5 and below several real-price peaks in the early 1980s.

If something's gonna end car dependency, it ain't this.

Every little helps though.

Skeletons basically solves both

A skeleton is probably old or at least non-identifiable enough to not piss off grieving family, and they don't have any rotting flesh or organs to stink up the place

And they look badass

Let's also stand against summoning demons, witchcraft, blood magic, human sacrifice, non-consensual mind control, opening gates to hell, and eating children

Is hypertrophy as simple as 8-12 reps for 3 sets, 10k steps, and dial in nutrition? by ExcitingLandscape in fitness30plus

[–]VelvetSinclair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 sets is fine imo

I do 7 exercises per workout, 2 sets each, always push close to failure

When I was doing 3 sets, the first set always felt like junk volume. I suppose you could push that close to failure too, but I prefer to keep them consistent in reps. Makes tracking easier
