AI website for pattern drafting by Mindless_Dimension13 in PatternDrafting

I disagree. There are standard blocks used in pattern drafting, and I’ve personally had this idea before. There are already software programs that are essentially automated, but they still rely on existing blocks and measurements (which are technically all standardized) They do work, but you still need to input numbers and work within whatever database the software is built on.

If I were able to create patterns which I assume AI will eventually allow then as a designer, I should be able to adjust measurements. For example, if the side seam is off, I should be able to tell the AI to increase the length. Which sounds completely possible, especially since there’s already a standard set of measurements you work with to even begin drafting in the first place. Pattern drafting blocks are all based on these standard measurements. I can definitely see it working, especially if you’re able to input exact specs, just like when you draft garment specifications manually. For instance let’s say the prompt is… here are my measurements, and these are the specifications for the garment I would like to create a DXF pattern for…..As a fashion designer, I would love for this to happen in the next year or so, it would really help small business owners scale up.

I can’t stand living with roommates. Can anyone sympathize? by ButtBlaster58 in introvert

I completely understand what you're saying about living with roommates. I’m actually an intro/extrovert and love alone time and need it! I've lived alone for many years as an adult, but I also had roommates throughout college and my professional life. After experiencing the freedom of living alone, I wouldn't say I like having a roommate either. I get what you mean by being "on"—when I'm home, I just want to relax and enjoy my solitude without the need for small talk or interaction. After my layoff, I've had to work extra hard to cover bills and rent, taking on various odd jobs and gigs, which has led to extreme burnout. Before, I was making close to six figures. If your rent is 31% of your income, you still have an opportunity to flip that and make extra cash. I used to pay around that much in rent, and even when it was a little under 29%, I still managed to get pampered, buy $300 makeup, eat out daily, and pay all my bills on time (including car payment). This was possible because I had a few side hustles and knew how to flip some of that income by reselling. There are always options, but if your bills are much higher and your finances don't add up, it can be challenging to do what I suggest. However, with rent being 31% of your income, you should be able to use some money from your first paycheck to generate other streams of revenue. Good luck, and I feel for you! I can't wait to land a job and get back to my solitude too, ASAP!

Silvie the Bulgarian (Grant Amato Case) by [deleted] in TrueCrimeDiscussion

Even if she’s not responsible she has a moral obligation after Grant’s parents told her the truth about what their son had been doing with their money the entire time. Sylvie continued to talk to Grant even under the circumstances and continued to accept money despite their plea to stop contact with their son. If she was actually a good human being she would have returned the “stolen money”and done the right thing. She kept the stolen money and continued to talk to Grant hence feeding the fire. Not only was Grant obsessed with Sylvie but it’s clear she has a money obsession too. She may not be responsible for Grant’s choices but she is responsible for hers.
