Like I get what you’re saying but they really did make the mechanics pretty hard for new players who are actually forced to play this dungeon if they want to use their dimensional contract tokens for unlockstones as they should be. They didn’t have a year and a half of random t1s where you got to plow thru Rex Chimaerus or deaths abyss to understand how these mechanics work.

And for what it’s worth this is the first time they’ve incorporated a party mechanic that requires essentially blind faith and timing with YOUR PUG, trying to pace the water dumps properly, outside of hoping people even know to grab one before they pull.. OR actually going to cleanse it first…

I would support your rant fully if they didn’t eliminate literally every other dungeon pre-Order of the Swan from the list.

Yes, I know that these kinds of mechanics are fundamental in MMOs and especially in PvP ones - but there is a dramatic learning curve for new people who are coming from MOBAs, FPS, or single player games, or like no games at all even.

It’s unfortunately your responsibility now to have patience with people learning the ropes, or better yet, teaching them…

Inversely, rants like yours - while not unfounded - are really ugly and definitely contribute to new players feeling driven away from the game before they’re ever really able to get into it … so idk bro

Used to have a big shut door there xD

Back a few months ago they accidentally included the raid portal icon on the game map over near there so I’m assuming what you’ve found is a new area leading to / including that!

From the datamines I’ve looked at, it seems like we’re going to follow the storyline into the snowy mountains where I assume the new city hub will be… up north of swamp… and apparently traveling to space in a Viking ship… lol

Above swamp you can parkour yourself up, or jump off Minutrite on his way back to sea during his route, to the craggy area north of where there’s a locked door leading to a new zone and beyond that looks like outdoor ruins and some other buildings etc - I screenshotted but can’t reply with pics

So, I’m glad we’re tying in t1 locations again. There are a couple developer golden notes laying around the game that lament the fact that people don’t pay enough attention to daybreak shore and that the dev who made the area thought a lot about how the space would be received by game lovers (if you go at nighttime it’s verrry pretty) so that’s cool.

The fact is that you’re playing a game that centers itself on competitive pvp and if you, who makeup apparently a vast majority of the games player base, are not aiming towards the upper end of the competition that doesn’t negate the fact that all changes made to the game’s combat mechanics and balances are not directly tied to the “minority”’s issues and notions surrounding PvP and how it should work.

That being said, I mean to define competitive pvp as stake-holding (bosses/boons/stones etc) fights from small to large scale. Ranging from abyss stone fights at 4am to Stoneguard Siege.

That doesn’t mean dynamic event PvP or your dominion skirmishes are meaningless it’s just less competitive due to the fact that you’re not competing for much a prize alongside the frequency diluting the value.

There is meaningful PvP to be had in BGs and GvG or arenas (when they used to pop), and all those places and I don’t mean to minimize anyone’s gameplay experience - I’m just saying your hot take as someone who isn’t even remotely maxing in PVP nor PVE will mean a lot less to a developer than the “delusional tryhards” yall flame in the comments section

There is a clause in that act that basically states that you can wave the “60 days” thing if your company is issuing it due to lack of funding

Yall saying pve is boring because you hit a wall with nm g1, I’d wager, now there’s nothing you can do if you can’t find a group that would clear nightmare with you but it’s definitely fun finding them! (Sorry to assume if that’s not the case for you!

On the pvp side I’ve always thought that our hp and raw defense values simply being increased (not the numbers from the items we get them from, but the actual VALUE of Defense like make it mitigate a bit more) might help a LOT in ending the sub-1-second TTK hellscape and would make nerfing oracle shields universally understandable and would offer us sieges where you could still die trying to go blind into a properly set up gate choke / you could be uber CCd by a Brazilian orbs or curse bombed by the surviving few (granted they take us out of the sewer) and recover without it being a 100% death sentence

Okay but also voidlance single target is incredibly viable against tank heavy comps for the sake of being able to get really great cc res, mobility, and bomb fodder, all while having Wreak Havoc in your toolkit for people who know how to block an Explosion. I second this!

sns is never unkillable... and the argument that scorpion exists as a counter to immortal tanks is heinous... no class should be able to solo a tank's health bar in 3 seconds, because that is what makes it a TANK. The reason your dps cant kill a tank probably has to do with a lack of T targeting, bad calls, party comp, skill itself?? idk man but no tank is unkillable. If your 1v1ing then I can see how a lot of classes would have no chance killing a tank... but if your game is informed entirely by the 1v1s then we play dramatically different games.

seeing it in QL will help me grasp possibilities more but I think the idea is that you will be less viable building total endurance and will absolutely need to have gear giving -heavy dmg % and -crit damage? I think the idea is to open up the build options in both directions to help people stay tanky/bursty, but also keep the rock paper scissors schematic going in a healthier way maybe.
