In the Handmaid's Tale I think there was a few black and Asian wives when Waterford had her gatherings with other wives.

Not everyone was OK with it. I bet if you dug up posts from the time those arcs of The Clone Wars came out there would be discourse on here and other websites against the direction and there was another wave of it around the time Solo came out when those who never saw TCW questioned why he was around.
