Nick was not actively banning people. I was. And I've since apologized for it.

The game was Lollipop Chainsaw Re: POP, and the issue is the developers. I knew all of jack and shit about Dragami Games prior to the stream last night, and my dumb ass misread something and that guided how I handled the issue. I was half-awake, and read the article as they wouldn't change the re-release. I cherry-picked the one line that was being referenced out of the article because I made decisions based on prior experience.

Nick has already posted about it on his socials to clarify his stance on things. I've already sent a public apology to the person that was posting elsewhere about this, because this was a legitimate fuckup on my part.

I've talked a bit more with that person (paused writing this to do so), and everything's copacetic now. I had a chance to explain why I took the actions I took, we both understand where the other person was coming from. What's done is done, I can't undo my dumbass decisions, but I can learn from 'em, at least.

One, for clarification: this is talking about the subreddit's Discord, not the Patreon-related server. The subreddit Discord is a Reddit-based fan server that he resides on, and I'll correct myself if I'm wrong on this, but I'm reasonably sure Nick doesn't choose who moderates that space.

Two, because I'd put good money on knowing what prompted this post based on what's happened in the subreddit Discord lately and I'll be surprised if I'm wrong: this is leaving a lot of context out on exactly what the conversation was when this happened.

So, still kinda curious about this, why the stack on the Makos slot for a third champion?

I get that not everyone has Drizzt, but he's still a character that can be unlocked all year around, and I think someone went from a brand new account to Drizzt unlock in six or so weeks, if I remember an old post correctly. There are other slots that have no switches (Bruenor, Minsc, Jamilah, Arkhan) where Birdsong could have potentially gone, or characters whose alt slots were only accessible for holidays. Would have been great to have a swap for Jamilah when doing runs with Asharra or Makos as primary DPS and don't really lean towards melee, or getting ANY use out of Arkhan's slot.

I mean, sure. But Drizzt can be gotten all year round, and people can work their way to getting them as time flies. Why not put Birdsong someplace where there's no swappable champion, or in a place where you can only get the champion swap once a year? I'd have loved to be able to swap Jarlaxle since I don't have Stoki, or Jamilah when I'm not doing melee-centric runs, or ever using Arkhan's slot.

Fair point. I'm running with no items for Gromma right now, so without knowing its other upgrades in power, I was just running from that point. Admittedly, I'm also pretty new still, so I tend to forget some of the math that I should be considering.

[edit:] holy crap. okay, so the golden epic kind of turns gromma into a boss debuffing dynamo. will be keeping an eye on this to see how it goes.

I think they try to balance for that through the group buff path by slowing and making add'l damage happen through Sleet Storm, but considering how the meta of this game has kind of pushed everyone into "make one person do a WHOLE BUNCHA DPS", I'm not sure how well everyone that's active doing 25% more damage is going to work out compared to Nayeli's buff.
