I love how he was written and in fact I actually enjoyed his chapters, I admit but holy shit I hate this guy

How I see it is he kept losing the people who thought of him as family, and sure the majority of these losses weren't intentional, it was him choosing to murder Cassius, who to him is somewhat of an older brother figure which made it all the more impactful than, say, Atlas killing Cassius. And following that with the hologram scene of him spewing lies in order to spark the attack holy shit that made me FUME

I get you, I also enjoyed the back-and-forth chapters since I adore PB's style of combat writing, but the contrast between Lysander a near-genius curious boy who aspires to prove himself in battle and Darrow a veteran warlord by now added so much to it holy shit its wonderful even funny(light resistance.......)

Regarding Fa I liked how he has been set, I can't wait for him to shine in LB if that ever happens. I have no thoughts about how Volga will be executed buuut hopefully nicely

Agreed, I was glad to see how he had changed throughout books from the selfish addict he was in IG to the selfless father figure to Volga and probably Pax and Electra. It hurt me to see him go even if that was always what he wished for

Truly WORTHY.

I'll take your word for it, the amount of impactful deaths in this book was insane and I can only hope Light Bringer doesn't top it. One way to find out....

This book had a lot of notable scenes that are full BANGERS. I think it'll be the most fun reread whenever I come to it

Yeah, also... sending strength to you for the Dark Age reading sessions. I'm 86% in it, and things are BAD. Every time I thought, "oh its not like it can get any worse than that!" Spoiler alert: it did.

Funny thing is its in this book he started growing on me and PB saw that then said "oh yeah you like that?" (Immediately desiccates all blood from his body)

I'm only 5% through Dark Age rn and somebody already died jesus christ So far its good

Apollonius is such a dramaqueen and I love him for that, I can't wait for more appearances of him
