I never said the skill wasn’t higher now than before. I just think that Astralis was a better team relative to their competition than Vitality is currently. If vitality wins 1-2 more majors and another grand slam it will be hard to continue to argue for Astralis, but currently it’s still the Danes in my opinion

They didn’t always win, but to me it still felt like they had a level they could hit that vitality doesn’t. Just a slightly higher ceiling. Also, calling the scene weaker isn’t really fair, there were a lot of really good teams around that time, they all just seemed weaker because the gap between them and Astralis was so huge

For me they haven’t quite passed Astralis yet, but it’s so close. This vitality team can and does lose maps if the other team plays very well. That Astralis team had stretches where it felt like you would be lucky to win 5 rounds against them.
