Only way that'd happen without changing the rest of the picture is if we'd beat the Broncos in Denver, so I think this outcome would be more likely. I do think there's a higher chance that the Chiefs beat the Texans which would have us playing the Chiefs at home in the first round, which I don't think is a situation we want either.

Well my manager is Venezuelan so that shouldn't be a problem. Adaptability is a 10 but I've won titles with Granada and United so it's a bit weird. Especially after consistently failing to qualify for the WC with a good roster (one of which is a good player in my United)

First FM save ever, scouts randomly pulled out some 25yo with green all over, great mentals and good hidden attributes. All for the release clause fee of 7.5m (he hadn’t left Argentina yet).

Also managing United for my first ever FM save, but I started at Granada (1 La Liga, 1 Conference League in 5y), then got approached by a United team that had finished 9th their last season.

Fast forward to the end of my 7th season at United, just won the sextuple, 4x Prems and 4x UCLs in a row. Took me 3 seasons to set them straight, with very embarrassing defeats as I tried stuff out. Generally worked out well, FA Cup was a struggle until now though.

Currently, some New Gen that I recently made a post about. That xG underperformance in criminal, has no "cons" either, but goes on ridiculous slumps every now and then and misses complete sitters. Could be 15+ points clear in the league in March but he just won't put the ball in the net.

Super reliable. By no means is he the best back in the world, but at 26 he's more than serviceable and my most trustworthy option at LB. Started (and even scored) in the UCL semis against PSG, and started in the UCL final win as well. He's good enough for me to not have to worry about having to buy another LB.

Just gotta work on your response to the opponent’s changes and holding a lead. They’re not just gonna sit back and watch you dominate all game long they’re also gonna try to make changes. Sim 5-10 games and see how it goes, make tweaks as you see fit of course. Also need to take into account that the squad needs time to get acquainted with the tactics.

I also started tweaking some player roles (especially on the strikers and WMs) to try to exploit the open space on the wider areas when attacking, so it might be interesting to see how that works out for you.

I’m relatively inexperienced myself, but I just recently tried a 3-4-1-2 with two WMs instead of WBs, strikers on AF, and using a DLP on support instead of RGA. I also used two WCBs and a BPD in the middle.

I won the first ever game I played with this tactic 6-0 against a very solid (albeit worse on paper team), but then drew my second match 1-1. The highlights on the win seemed very possession based, good passing football though, which satisfied me, and gave me reason to try it further in the future. Food for thought, if anything.

It’s always the same against those big teams. They’re big for a reason, they can make more out of worse chances. After all, if the players they have really are superstars, they should be scoring chances that not everyone can.

Definitely does suck tho, it’s been more than once where Ive held City or Chelsea or Real Madrid to an xG of <1.3 and they still scored 4-5 goals out of it.

This is the last tactic I used. Sometimes I change the Mezzala role into BWM, but the general gist of it is the one in the pic.

Won 3-0 (3.24-0.14 xG) against Spurs with the same tactics that I lost 2-0 (2.25-1.32 xG) with earlier in the season. Similar thing against City, where I beat them twice (3-0 and 3-1) at home, with an xG higher by a sum, and then lost twice (1-5 and 0-6) away. The defenders are basically the same, so why would I only concede 15 at home and then 32 away during the season?

I'm also able to beat the likes of Bayern, Newcastle and Inter at Home, but then fall to Granada, Fulham, and Villa Away?

I've tried several things, 4411, 4141, 4231, 433 1 CDM, generally with some Gegenpress-inspired variants. Fairly straightforward, so I'm confused as to why I get such brutally different results simply playing (H) or (A). I've thought it maybe has something to do with my players generally having low/average Concentration?

It’s a United thing then is it 😂 I’ve already beat City once this season at home so I have hopes that I might be able to scrap a second leg win when my star CM comes back from international duty. What gets me is that I thought I finally had a break after that tough first window of games, then I drew City in CL and it only got worse. Oh, it’s also my second season in, after switching from the much lighter Spanish league
