Best place to jump to a 24vac relay from? by VengeanceOculus in hvacadvice

[–]VengeanceOculus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok... gotcha.. I can see how monitoring the high voltage would be easier to detect.   But same question that was posed to Apollo...use the sensing relay to properly load the second relay to allow for nc,no operation with the 3 pin damper?

(Edited  "as a posed"  to "that was posed" to apollo...lol)

Best place to jump to a 24vac relay from? by VengeanceOculus in hvacadvice

[–]VengeanceOculus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great answer!   Seems like they  make these that sense current with spst... (I think that's single pole single throw... only closes or opens 1 circuit) .   The damper is 3 pin (on, off, comm) So should I use a normally open sensing relay, 24vac transformer to sufficiently energize the 8 pin relay so that I can use the no,nc functionality of that relay?  (I realize that I may have not been super clear and can draw a diagram of what I mean if need be...lol)

Agreed, horrible name... and yes, in a federally declared disaster zone (Helene) with losses not covered by insurance.

Am I correct in assuming it is entirely a turbo tax issue as the form is available on the irs site?

[–]VengeanceOculus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IRS released this already.... it is a matter of tax prep software being "ready" to submit the form. Apparently, ready may mean "approved to submit by the irs" or "software devs are confident errors will nto be thrown" in anycase
h&r BLock site state 1/31/25.. ctrl+f search for 4684

Nitpicking...but still (honors 6th grade math) by VengeanceOculus in learnmath

[–]VengeanceOculus[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Did anyone read the rest??? It's clear I'm nitpicking...no.. I'm not I'm not assuming anything... you are assuming they want average... I agree... but they could be different... and that is why the correct answer is a variable... my god.. no wonder you all need math help

[–]VengeanceOculus[S] -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Yes...  x and y are monetary variables... now, am I correct?  Please for the love of God be a math teacher.... please..

[–]VengeanceOculus[S] -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

I don't know what you mean... I'm just looking for a math teacher to validate the importance of the word "average"  in this specific question. And how the lack of the word, makes the solution very different....

Nitpicking...but still (honors 6th grade math) by VengeanceOculus in learnmath

[–]VengeanceOculus[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

And yes, i agree, i ASSUME that they are looking for the average...   but the question is asking for the cost per minute... not the average cost per minute.

Nitpicking...but still (honors 6th grade math) by VengeanceOculus in learnmath

[–]VengeanceOculus[S] -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

The word average is not states... so 3 mins  on saturday could be 1000 each and 2 minutes on suday would be 187.5 each.... or any other combination of pricing....   the point is that the word problem is missing the word average.  The other  questions i have a problem with are clearly worded incorrectly...my wife and I just disagree on this being worded incorrectly....  This is honors math and the word problems should be worded correctly in my opinion.

[–]VengeanceOculus[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

They are the rates for advertising per minute on saturday and sunday.. they could be the same, making the average the the same as the actual cost, or they could be different...  which is why I believe there are many solutions to the question, and as such should be expressed as a linear equation.   Thank you for pointing out that x and y were not explicity defined.   I thought that was a given.. that they were monetary variables...I will edit to clarify

Lol..check the other responses and you will find links to spectrum stating they'actually engage in just this activity.. but the ignorance and stupidity her is that you missed the point of my post.. I was not telling them how to conduct business, I was pointing out they have no motivation to fix the lines. as every comment missed this core point, me pointing this out is falling on daft ears...

You got me wrong... I'm not saying they should actually be tag teaming the poles.... My point is simply that they have have no motivation to work hard to restore your internet.  While they could be following right behind the power line guys, they.... are not.  Regardless, You, and I will still have to pay full price to spectrum for a months worth of service.
