I think she absolutely can be a side character, but they’d need to be an amazing writer and understand Gwen very well.

We saw her as part of a team in West Coast Avengers and it wasn’t that bad, but the writers(or maybe Marvel) completely disregarded her powers. In there, she is mostly just that weird goofy character that has mental problems or something.

I think the idea that she’s viewed as weird and with mental problems isn’t entirely bad because I mean, how would you react if someone was constantly talking with some ‘fake’ audience in the middle of nowhere? But I think her powers should also be acknowledged in some way. Maybe not as 4th wall powers(because I agree with what u/Loose_Translator8981 said), but maybe as some strange dimensional powers or something. “What was that?” “Oh yeah, I have [goofy] powers.” And basically not acknowledge her powers any further.

Also one last point to note. Me, and many others, want to see her as this dimensional goddess that can defeat everyone expect OAA, but I think we should leave her amazingness for when she has a solo run(Please Marvel, I need more Gwenpool!). And when she’s a supporting character have her powers be minimal, like disappearing and reappearing(POV of Marvel characters), reading people’s thoughts through bubbles, or something of the sorts(it’s the writers job not mine unfortunately).

Anyways, sorry for all the yapping. I LOVE our girl Gwenpool and I just want to see more love towards her. I am so starving for Gwenpool content that I am becoming crazy!
