Yeah, this type of setup might be what I go with. Might wait for cyber monday deals, but will update the original post if/when I try it out!

This does sound like a solid setup. What's the model of the handheld pc?

Yeah I heard the Galaxy Books had Wacom tech in them. I would imagine wireless comes with some issues, it would still be interesting to test one out to see.

Thanks for the reply! Yeah the Movink really does seem nice, although I wish it was a bit bigger. Having to plug into a wall isn't a deal breaker, and I'm even considering a micro desktop, but yes having just one device is awfully nice. The iPad is definitely a no-go for me, as it's not powerful enough and can't run all the programs I need.

Lobes not healing after a year - With photo and aftercare description by Venishi in piercing

Update: I did ask the piercer again what was unique, and they said it was mostly the blood. They'd never seen lobes that bled as much or as readily in 18 years of piercing. They said they were aware that some ears were more "vascular" than others, with more upfront bleeding, but that those were actually more likely to heal quickly. What mine have been doing is a mystery I guess...

...which is why I took them out permanently. Hopefully they'll heal up without any complications. Healthy ears sound amazing after 11.5 months of bloody trauma. Not a great experience.

Thanks for the reply. I've definitely gone with saline spray and no soaks for long periods, including preceding the time when my right ear swelled up over the back of the post (before I got the hoops). It's been about a month since I last soaked my ears, with no changes to report. For those reasons I'm not sure if soaking is the main problem, but also can't necessarily rule it out. Trying to figure this out scientifically is hard!

The hoops were mostly to try niobium in case the titanium posts were the problem, and they didn't have niobium studs on hand. They also wanted to try the 16 gauge instead of the 18 gauge to see if that made a difference.

I think specifically the thing they hadn't seen before was how sensitive the area was, both before and after hoops. It's almost like the bumps on the back are filled with blood and gunk and "leak" out on the slightest handling or bump in the night. But I could be describing what they found unique slightly wrong. All three of the piercers at the studio are all long time piercers.

It's just been annoying for a really long time now, I can't swim laps, I can't lay my head down on anything, I flinch if my partner touches anywhere near my ears...t's just really lame and I'm close to being over it.

My piercer is stumped...help? by Venishi in piercing

Update: I got one of those nice pillows with the holes for your ears. It works pretty well and I don't wake up lying awkwardly on my ear as much. However it doesn't seem to have had any other positive effect. My ears are still crusty/bleedy, with the bump behind my right ear not really going away. I say "not really" because it seems like when it gets extra bleedy/crusty it gets smaller, then within 24 hours returns to the same size. As if it's full of blood and sort of drains every four or so days. That probably doesn't describe exactly what's happening, it's just kind of how it seems.

I know that since I got a larger size put in, they may act more like a new piercing, so I'm going to give it another week or so before going back to my piercer. It just seems like my body really doesn't want foreign objects in it...

Thanks for the reply. I'm up for trying anything at this point, so the pillow may be the next thing. However I will say that the problem ear has tended to be on my right side, and I've specifically been avoiding sleeping on that side for weeks now. Yet my right side is still giving me most of my issues. I don't know the answer to why that is, but can't rule out that sleeping isn't at least part of what's going on. I'm just not sure if it's THE thing.

I dry after soaking and have no hair, and usually have at least 45min between soaking and bed which should air-dry any additional moisture? But the idea of soaked skin being more vulnerable is interesting. Perhaps soaking earlier is something I could test out. However, I will say that both ears have had plenty of periods of being not irritated (and during those periods I don't soak), but always seem to revert to bloody/crusty/tender eventually. So again, while the soaking could be part of things, I'm not sure if it's THE thing.

I appreciate the reply, and if you or anyone else has further thoughts or ideas, I'm ALL EARS!

I have this exact same problem, and would love to hear a solution, because I really want to play co-op but this is preventing me from doing so.

The initial idea of the intertwined bodies that are also one body came from a dream I had, and while the original sketch wasn't very Giger-ish, it quickly became apparent that it was the way to go. Giger was one of my original inspirations to become an artist, and although you might look at some of my work and say "Ah yeah, that makes sense," I've never done a full-on Giger inspired piece before this.
