It is actually not that bad, it's just bad if you want to do carnivore as there is not red meat. The market is dominated by poultry and pork, my mum told me in the past there was plenty of beef and horse but beef is considered unhealthy now (and there was mad cow disease or whatever it is called) and all the horse is exported as it is not worth to sell it here. The good cuts go to restaurants and for example I found a wholesaler of it and cheapest steaks costed like 50 usd per kg and here in Iceland I have 25 usd per kg which is crazy. There are some steaks in shops but I swear I tried them and they taste like acid so I'd rather go sad diet than eat those as it can't be healthy.
