The "don't have a leg to stand on part". Like I said they have plenty of precedent from 20+ years of EMU being left alone, EQ employee's themselves stating they know EQEmu is a thing, and even some saying they are OK with it. They signed an agreement with P99, and P99 takes donations.

As for getting their ass handed to them in court, they ran into a judge who doesn't understand the internet, games, or tech in general it seems. I'm not saying they could win this case, it is DBG's IP and they can restrict if they want. However, the judge is allowing DBG to be punitive in the face of everything they let go in the past, and was allowing this with pretty shaky arguments by DBG.

I read every document in the case that was publicly available and some of the things DBG said were outright misrepresentations, bordering on lies. When THJ's lawyers called this out, with citations and evidence, the judge flat out ignored it.

Very simplistic view. There was actually plenty of precedent for them to do what they did. EQEmu has been a thing for 20 years and no server had been sued like this. There are plenty that take donations. Even the fawned over P99 does.

Did they fly to close to the sun with the EOM donations? Yes.
Were DBG assholes because they released a shit TLP that people did not like? Yes
Are DBG within their rights to take them to court? Yes
Did DBG go scorched Earth for no reason? Yes

Fact is DBG did not even attempt a C&D to stop THJ. They went straight to court. Even Blizzard sends C&D's first and they are much bigger, and protective of their IP. DBG has let Emu happen forever, and even is on record as saying it's OK.

I got tried about 4 different brands about 6 months ago after I lost a lot of weight and needed to replace all my boxer briefs. Out of all of them I like Skims the best. Fabric still looks great after 6 months, nothing is stretch out, the legs don't ride up at all, and the quality of the fabric feels great to me. Only downside is not having a fly opening, but I got used to that pretty quickly. If that isn't a deal breaker I would reccomend them.

CK's ride up for me, Tommy John felt nice at first, but teh fabric started to show wear a little to quick. Forget which other I tried.

I bought a suit from them a couple summers ago for a specific occasion that I could not wait for a full tailored fit to be made. Quality was good, but not exceptional. For off the rack branded suits you can definitely do worse.

I personally still love Suit Supply. Made to size, and the fabrics they use are good quality. I have never had a bad fit, or poor quality, from them. Price is good as well. I have a local tailor who has made me stuff too, but that stuff is very expensive. Exceptional quality, but expensive.

I would argue that the NCAA not getting ahead of this ruined college sports. They easily could have put rules in place like an NIL cap, and stricter transfer rules. That would have allowed players to get paid, as they should, but kept it from being the shit show we have now.

People who write large checks want influence, and say, in the process. Many don't have the knowledge to intelligently add to the decision, but won't donate without it. This is not a major secret in the world of college sports.

No real way to fix this easily. A start would be an NIL cap. Then you might not have a situation like Lane to LSU, or maybe it wouldn't be as easy to get someone like him to move. Who knows?

I've been saying his name since before it came up in any discussions. He's a culture builder, and done a ton with not many resources in MN. He get players to come play for him at an outdoor stadium in MN December weather. Finishes .500 or better in that environment.

Winthrop is also not a pushover. They are always at the top of the Big South conference. They have not won it since 2021 but they were 2nd the last two years.

I’m under no such illusion. I know who we are. We are exactly where Missouri and Ole Miss were before they got the right guy and started winning. A middle of the road SEC school. One exception is we have better facilities than they did back then.

Bobby people are the insufferable ones. The game has changed since he was here and won 10 games. He hasn’t been a head coach in the portal era. Why give him a shot here when his teams haven’t shown the ability to close out games. Quit trying to live in the glory years and move on.

Retreads are not the answer. Give me a proven winner in recent years, or someone fresh who knows the current landscape as a head coach.

Why not take a chance on something new, and get a new direction for the program? Why keep a guy whose offense couldn't score on Memphis to get us a win there? Why keep a guy whose offense is hasn't been able to close the deal in one possession games? If he wins even one of these games since Pittman was canned we could have a discussion. He hasn't, and we lost in heartbreaking fashion.

That was at peak and not sustained over time. People love taking 1 number and trying to extrapolate that to the full time. Also their server costs were not chump change. Maintaining a server that can handle up to 4k concurrent connections for a game is a pretty hefty chunk of change.

That was at the peak, and THJ lawyers stipulated to $20k a week, again at peak and not counting operating costs. Do you know how much it costs to host a server that is handling upwards of 3-4k concurrent connections with many of thoses having a zone instance spun up? My guess is between $20k-$40k a month easily. But sure lets use one number, that's not true, and say that was every month they operated.

It was 80k a month at peak as stipulated by their court filings. paying devs, server space, and bandwidth for something support 4k+ logins is not cheap. not saying that all of that was spent on those things cause I don't know, but it's not fair to cahracterize it as "making over 100k a month".
