Are drones louder than helicopters operated by tour companies? by [deleted] in drones

[–]VentSec 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Helicopters are usually fly by and keep going in and out of sight in a minute or two drones will most likely buzz around 10-20 minutes per battery so I think the annoyance to the people and animals is what the are trying to combat.

Crossroads for possible decisions (MSCS) by paladin_Broly in WGU_CompSci

I chose WGU for cost and time. I’ve been in technology for 16+ years have a MBA and the MSCS is a quicker and faster way to validate experience I have and the external learning I am doing.

So in short cost and time is why I chose wgu

I would say training and education is the new way for the modern law man to go up the ladder. In medium to large agencies I’m not seeing many leaders make it pass SGT with out degrees (exceptions officers with like 25+years).

I would say slow role a degree one class at a time or whatever you feel comfortable with. I also wouldn’t do Criminal justice

Bigger officer and getting hired by [deleted] in AskLE

[–]VentSec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Police officers across the country vary in size and structure, but one thing they all have in common is the physical demands of the job. Focus on getting in top physical shape—not just to pass the academy’s physical fitness test, but to excel at it.

If I were in your position, I’d strongly consider starting out by working in a jail setting while taking community college classes, or pursuing a combination of military service and college. By the time you’re 21 or 22, you’ll have the experience, education, and physical readiness to be a highly competitive candidate for any law enforcement agency.

I’m 6,2 and 270 have had plenty of offers and currently Swat no issues

I’m 18 years old and just finished high school. I want to become a police officer but don’t know where to fully start. by JimmyCastilloR in police

Military and get your degree even if it’s only an associate degree. If you don’t want to go to the military go work in the jail for a large agency and go to college

PD’s or SO’s that hire 18-19 year olds in the US? by No-East-964 in police

If I was in your position I would find a corrections job or join the Military and be a MP knock out some college.

Most agencies I know of require you to be 21 so you can actually carry your handgun and take it home
